Jessica frowned and endured the pain silently.
Lorenzo calmed down gradually and became sober. When the disease recurred, he was like a trapped animal struggling to climb out of the swamp helplessly. When he became sober, he rushed away from Jessica.
"Not well again? Don't worry and take it easy. I will take good care of you..." Jessica spoke very softly.
"Stay back!" Lorenzo interrupted Jessica and gestured for her to stay away from him. "Go get some sleep. You’ve gotten a rough day today." He turned around and left.
Lorenzo was a very proud man. He didn’t allow his vulnerability to be shown to others, not even his closest family members. He bore everything silently and went through the ordeal alone slowly.
Instead of getting better at it, he would make it worse so she could not stand by.
"Lorenzo, you have to try to trust me. It won't work for you to suffer alone. I can at least help you feel better, okay?" Jessica didn't hesitate. She walked to the door of the bathroom and knocked hard on the glass door.
Lorenzo turned on the cold water to the extreme, gasping for breath and clenching his hands under the shower head as if the smell of blood in the air had made him feel worse than ever. He didn’t have to look in the mirror to know how messed up he was.
In Lorenzo's mind, there were many people in front of him, calling him sick, crazy, insane... In a trance, Lorenzo seemed to notice that someone was shouting his name as hard as she could but he didn't respond. That person just wouldn't give up.
Gradually, the images Lorenzo had in his mind-the swaying crowds, disappeared. What he could hear was just his name.
"Lorenzo... Are you all right? Lorenzo, say something. You really don't..." Jessica kept banging on the glass door it looked that she would keep going if Lorenzo didn’t open it.
Lorenzo stepped to the door and opened it.
Jessica was surprised by his sudden movement so she froze for a few seconds. Then she observed his reaction carefully. He was not well as if he had become a stranger.
The way Lorenzo looked at her now was, to say the least, atrocious, like a beast breaking free from its cage and waiting for its chance.
"Lorenzo, you..." Jessica looked at him.
"Go away." Lorenzo stared at Jessica, with his voice clearly subdued.
"Not by any means." Jessica wouldn’t leave this time.
Breathing faster and faster, Lorenzo grabbed Jessica suddenly, dragged her back to the master bedroom and threw her to the bed.
Before she reacted, Lorenzo had tied her hands tightly with a tie to the carved bed post so that she could not move.
"Lorenzo, come back! Don't! Let go!" Jessica was terrified and cried out.
It seemed that he hadn't hear her. He bowed his head and put his thin lips on her white neck and took a hard bite suddenly.
"Ouch..." Jessica gasped and sweat broke out on her forehead. She tried desperately to free herself but the tie was too tight. Jessica felt cool suddenly only to find that her clothes had been torn by Lorenzo with the buttons falling to the ground. Whenever Jessica struggled, Lorenzo would torture her even harder.
It took Lorenzo quite a while to raise his face and looked at Jessica with his repressed eyes. She was fair as hell with thin sweat on her forehead, a few strands of black hair on her cheeks and her hair cascading over the dark purple silk sheets.
It was a striking and thrilling beauty to him! Lorenzo's thin lips were bothering Jessica. She knew that Lorenzo didn't mean to hurt her. In order to alleviate Lorenzo's brutal reaction, she has to be gentle.
