Crash-landed On An Island With Nine Beauties novel Chapter 50

The crescent moon had a silhouette of clouds stalking it, but the gentle flames of the bonfire tossed around by the idle winds gave enough light to the ten youth seated around the fire.

They could had been called eleven, but the white wolf hiding in the gloom behind the castle had other ideas. Though she was seated with her head between her legs, her face thrusted in their direction, yet her attention wavered.

Drake dropped the wooden plate and bark of coconut fruit which he had just drank from. The girls were having a gist. He knew he was about to ruin that.

His eyes strayed to Ayisha. She neither smiled nor frowned. She kept a neutral expression. It was very hard to push away the fresh memories of her on him. The passion and the desire. Thinking too much about it would give him a boner.

He felt light and his mood pure. His eyes were sharper and his vision clearer. He looked up at the sky and traced the lines of thin clouds racing in the gloomy sky.

He looked towards the castle. He saw two red eyes in the dark.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE ALONE?

~ pretend you can't see ~

He scoffed. What was he thinking? He should be acquainted with the indifference of the wolf already.

"Time to talk."

He called eventually. One after the other the girls put their lips to bed till the last person, who said,

"Manner."

Lisa.

"Before I start, who has something to say?"

He took a risk. He was very aware of what this might lead to, yet he wanted them to express themselves freely. He didn't want to be too opinionated. His recent meeting with Ayisha gave him another perception of things.

Laurette was the first who put up her hand.

"Ok, Laurette."

She wanted to stand,

"No, remain seated. You'll be speaking with your mouth right?"

The girls laughed. Laurette didn't really find it funny.

"Why did you have to do that to my sister? Why?! After all, it's just a Cannibal. A beast, not even a human. Don't you think you overreacted?"

Damien looked away from Laurette to Lisa who added,

"Yea, that's true. You claim to care about us, but you put the Cannibals over us? They are just beasts. True talk. Why should beasts and humans share the same punishment and stuff?"

"I agree."

Evelyn, Lisa and Jada called.

"Me too."

Tendzel seconded. Damien waited for a while, looking from one girl to the other, especially at those who hadn't spoken yet.

"Anyone else?"

Claire put up her hand.

"I have something else to say."

Damien nodded,

"Let's deal with this first, then we'll have yours."

He took Laurette in his gaze.

"Were you mad and pissed off because it was your sister? Would you had done the same thing if it happened to any of the girls other than your sister?"

Laurette's face changed.

"What does that have to do with ---"

"You're not trying to be defensive, are you?"

She looked beaten. Damien continued coldly,

"Answer in neutrality. Would you?"

"No."

He was impressed that Laurette didn't hide the truth. He had a reason to respect her, even though she answered grudgingly.

"To the rest of you who share the same construct."

The girls who supported Laurette tucked theirs heads in, they couldn't look up at him. Only Evelyn was bold enough. Not even Tendzel.

"What happens if you were Cannibals and humans invaded your privacy, your home and land? They killed one of your brothers or sisters... would you say the same?"

"That's not even the same thing."
