Crash-landed On An Island With Nine Beauties novel Chapter 99

"Isn't that Damien?"

Ayisha swallowed, straining her eyes. No matter how hard she tried to cajole her eyes to zoom in on the important scene, she was disappointed. Over and over again. But she wouldn't give up. Her instinct kept telling her to wait there and observe closely.

She moved closer towards the ocean. When she was close enough, she couldn't go any further. A wave of the water almost touched her legs, but she flinched. She had phobia of water. Especially big waters like the ocean. 1

But she took the risk to allow a tip of the wave tease her soles.

"That must be him. I'm sure that it is him. Even though it's not so clear, I know what his body frame looks like."

She wasn't ready to dismiss the thoughts yet.

"But what happened to him, did he fall? Did he collapse?"

From her eyes, you'd tell that if she had her way, she would swim through the ocean to go feed her heart, but the courage wasn't there. Even though the heart was persistent.

"Woah..."

She ran away from the water when a heavy wave was hurled at her. The curious heart couldn't withstand that terror.

"That scared me."

She was several steps away from the last-seen of the ocean. A sort of doubt was beginning to form in her heart and she couldn't help but nurse it.

"Or maybe he is not the one."

She swallowed again, looking across the long body of blue water. She puffed a wave of warm air.

"If he's not the one, then who is it? Could it be that there is someone else living on that island? This is really strange and scary."

There was a certain urgency which swept across her face. It seemed as though she was seeking a particular answer to her unasked questions.

"What if he changed his mind and comes to this island? What happens then? How are we going to defend ourselves? With crossbows? Think of formation and hunt him down?"

She shook her head slowly, she wasn't sure whether or not that made any sense. She took in a deep breath.

"No, that must be Damien. I can tell. I feel it. It must be him. And I must figure it out. I must get to the root of this. I'll give it whatever it takes. Evelyn could be right all along. Like Claire."

"What can you feel?"

A sudden feminine voice came from behind her and she turned. At first, she saw Laurette, then from behind her walked out Claire and Evelyn.

"Huh?"

She was surprised to see them. For all she could remember, she didn't tell them that she was coming here.

"It's nothing. Let's get back."

She dismissed and made to walk away, but Claire walked into her way, obstructing.

"It's either I shove you in that water or you tell us what you just discovered."

Ayisha chuckled wryly at Claire's threat. Claire's tiny eyebrows were cocked.

"You think this is a joke huh? I'll give you three seconds to come to a conclusion. And while trying to choose a response, don't forget your phobia of the ocean."

Claire moved closer to her. As she did, Ayisha took steps back. Ayisha would occasionally look at her back. She knew she couldn't keep going back. At a point, she would have to come to a decision.

Suddenly she looked back at Claire, a smirk danced across the corners of her mouth and then she moved sideways, so smoothly. She grabbed Claire by the left arm and hurled her to the side. Claire fell on her side, groaning.

"You crazy bitch!!!"

Claire groaned, trying to sit up.

"Ow, that hurts."

"Why did you have to do that?"

Laurette lashed out at Ayisha who scarcely was looking at any of them.

"What would you do if someone was threatening you with your phobia? How did you feel when Damien put bugs all over you?"

Laurette couldn't defend her points anymore. Ayisha seemed to had won that round?

"Don't get ahead of yourselves. We'll do it my way for now. I don't want to mislead you, nor put fear in you. It's up to you make whatever meaning out of it."

She turned and stomped off.

"That wench!!!"

Claire yelled, standing on her feet. Laurette couldn't keep staring at Ayisha for long. She looked away, hardly resting a glance on Claire.

Her attention had been picked by the ocean. She walked closer and closer towards it. Her right sole kissed the waves, then followed the other one. She kept on going.

"Laurette! What are you doing?"

Evelyn was alarmed. Her eyes bulging at her sockets in a wild fear. Evelyn ran to Claire and grabbed her arm, shaking it,
