"Did you not think about a much bigger problem here, Molly?" Harriet turned to face her. "You knew that Louisa was pregnant. I and Wesley did not have a future."
Molly put her head down in disappointment, "To be honest, I have spied on Louisa before. I feel... I feel that she and Wesley do not match as a couple. I don’t want to be the barer of bad news. We all know how crazy she was before. Who knows if the child is even Wesley’s..."
Harriet was picking up a glass to have a sip of water. By hearing that she nearly spat her water out.
She must agree that Molly had a very sharp mind as an agent.
"Wow, where did you learn to investigate people like that Molly?"
Molly said seriously, “After the last mistake was made, I realize that it’s not enough to only have a business skills. I must be vigilant at all times and gather as much information from people around me as I can. I don't want anyone to be hurt as much as they were hurt last time. "
Harriet’s nose was slightly stern. And she was feeling warm in her heart. At least one person really cared about her on this planet.
"Ding Dong" The doorbell rang. Molly rushed to open the door. When she saw the person at the door, she was shocked.
"Mr. Smith, Miss Jones..."
Wesley went through the door first. Louisa gritted her teeth anxiously and followed him inside.
Harriet turned around in shock, "Louisa?"
"... Harriet, I have a reason for this visit.” After Louisa said this, you could feel the tension in the air. Molly had no other choice just to leave the room and give everyone some privacy.
Harriet had a subtle look on her face.
It wasn’t easy for anyone to become a family member after being in love with him. Besides, there is no real connection between those two. They are only connected through the children and nothing more.
"There is no need for you to visit me, we have nothing to talk about."
Louisa sat on the sofa nervously and asked without a doubt, “Where is Colin now? Has anyone found him yet?"
She was asking Wesley about him all the time before. Wesley didn't tell her the truth about the car crash, only saying he didn’t find him. of course she didn't believe him, so she was sneaking around with Wesley in an attempt to get some sort of information from Harriet. She wanted to know the truth.
"If Wesley had not found him yet, how can I be faster than him?" Harriet said with no emotion.
When Louisa heard about it, she thought Harriet was being jealous. She quickly said, “Harriet, to be honest, Wesley and I have never loved each other. He had always thought about me as his sibling. And I thought about him the exact same way. There was never any love and never will be between me and him. You have nothing to worry about."
After heaving the word, Harriet was secretly happy. Unfortunately she had to get back to reality. "Whatever relationship you and him have, you don't have to explain it to me. I couldn’t care less." Harriet glanced towards him and added, “Whatever happened, nothing would change." Louisa pouted, “I would be died already if you didn’t donate your kidney to me. Therefore, there would be no chances to meet Colin..."
Harriet realized that this obnoxious little girl was still as awkward as before. Now everything she cared was connected to Colin. She was blindly in love, and not able to see anyone else apart from him.
"Harriet, if you want to be with Wesley, I will very much support your decision." Louisa realized that it wasn’t very nice what she said, so she suddenly changed the topic, "I will never be as ignorant as I was before. I guarantee that you will marry Wesley." Harriet's eyes were focused on both of them. Eventually she gave them a smile.
"Louisa, you made a mistake. I only care about this child who is growing in your belly. Yours and Wesley’s relationship means nothing to me anymore."
