Darling, Don't Get Rid of Me novel Chapter 88

Harriet was so drunk she couldn't even tell the direction, she blinked dizzily, and grabbed Wesley's hand trying to remove it from her chin, she spoke with a tone of arrogance.

"I'm freaking rich, of course I can afford to use you. I'll buy you for a night, name your price."

A hint of keen interest shone through Wesley's eyes, "Harriet, look at me properly. Who am I?"

Harriet tried her best to look up and observe, but then she gave up and waved her hand at him, "I don't really care who you are, everybody just wants money anyways. It's as simple as that."

She then took out a few red money bills from her handbag, and shoved it into the man's hand. " “SNG Apartment, No.6, HU Road, drive me there."

She really had moved and wasn't planning to tell me about it, Wesley thought to himself.

Wesley now looked a bit irritated, he pulled the woman roughly and threw her into the car. He then glanced at the money bills in his hand and a mischievous thought crossed his mind. He drove speedily towards the destination.

They're now at the single apartment at SNG Apartment, No.6, HU Road, along the corridor.

The lift's door opened and Wesley carried the drunk woman out.

Harried staggered again, she tried to break free of the grip, "Let me go, I want to go home."

"You are home." said Wesley, expressionless. "Where's your key?"

Harriet readily took out her key, but she stopped halfway, she frowned and was sizing up the man, "No, I can't let you in."

Wesley squinted and was smiling with his eyes, "What did you say?"

"I said, you can't come in." Harriet repeated herself a bit angrily, "I need my own personal space, I don't want to be always under your control."

Wesley's eyes were filled with slight rage, he gripped her hand tightly.

"Do you know what you are saying, you drunkard?"

Harriet who always acted accordingly was now out of control.

"Of course. I hate you, I hate your guts, I hate how controlling you are. You never cared about how I feel. Even a pet has times when they want to let out their emotions for a bit. But me? I never even get the chance and you never once thought about me."

Wesley's eyes were now misty and cold, "Harriet, don't forget that I just promised you about letting you choose your own role for a shooting."

He gave the woman a choice but she wasn't even grateful, and was biting him back.

"To heck with that, that's my basic human right!"

Harriet was yelling her lungs out, venting out all of her frustrations that were slowly piling up throughout the years.

"If you never wanted to grant me my freedom, then don't promise me in the first place. Now you want to take back your words and threaten me with it? Oh please. Make up your damn mind. You can have any woman in the world, just let go of poor old me. I just want my peaceful days back, I lost so much because of you, and you still want to threaten me over such a small request?"

Sentences came tumbling one after another from Harriet's mouth, Wesley's expression got darker and darker.

"Let me go!"

Harriet tried to free herself from his grip again, at this moment, Len's cold and stern voice pierced through the still atmosphere, he sounded a bit angry, "What is going on?"

He went to take out the trash and saw the scene, it was obvious to the bystander's eyes that Harriet was being bullied by the other person. He walked up heroically and tried to pull Harriet over to his side.

"Didn't you hear the lady, she told you to back off."

But he wasn't able to grab her, instead he got flung away very inhumanely by Wesley.

Len stumbled, he frowned in pain but wasn't going to back off, "Who are you and what's your relationship with Miss Clark? Why are you forcing yourself on her?"

"Don't be a busy body." Wesley was annoyed, he pulled Harriet over and was going to get the key from her bag.

Len rushed towards Wesley to stop him from getting the key, "Don't be impolite towards Miss Clark!"

Wesley was angry, he was already annoyed by what Harriet said, and now there was another guy who didn't know his place, interfering with the situation. Wesley was very furious.
