Chapter 11 I'm Toast
Dr. Sullen didn't know what to say.
For God's sake... He wanted to take back what he said!
What was wrong with people these days?! Why did everyone like Keith so much?!
Dr. Sullen couldn't understand at all, "Is he, a businessman, more professional than me, a doctor?
Angelina smiled faintly with arched eyes, "Dr. Sullen, there's no doubt that you are more professional in this. You are a professional doctor, doing your work with a calling, helping others with a noble passion and saving lives with your professional medical knowledge. It's just... Emm... I want Mr. Fuller to help me apply the medicine."
'Oh! Her tone is so sweet and soft.' Dr. Sullen thought to himself and was delighted by her string of compliments.
But Dr. Sullen's rationality prevailed and he said, "But Mr. Fuller is probably busy right now. I don't think he has time to do this right now. You can ask him to help you apply the medicine at night."
At that moment, a low voice suddenly came from behind him. "I have time for this now."
Dr. Sullen was stunned. He had never been proven wrong so quickly.
Angelina was a little stunned as well. Why was everything different from what she had imagined?
Without knowing when, Keith had already returned from outside. Just when Dr. Sullen said he might be busy, he happened to come in.
Applying the medicine to her did not require any technical skill, and Dr. Sullen had said that before just to tease Angelina.
Now Dr. Sullen looked at his friend next to him, and the smile in his eyes was very obvious. He said, "Now, why don't you help Miss Jefferson apply the ointment?"
He then handed the prepared ointment directly to Keith and said, "Just apply the ointment, don't rub it. The ointment must be applied several times and only a small amount each time."
Keith then replied in a light tone, "Do you have anything else?"
Dr. Sullen looked at Keith, then at Angelina, and suddenly understood. He immediately replied, "Well, it looks like it's time for me to get off work. I won't bother you two anymore."
Listening to their conversation, Angelina, who was lying on the hospital bed, had only one thought in her mind.
'Oh... I'm toast...'
Angelina hadn't had time to put her hand out from under the blanket to stop Dr. Sullen, nor had she had time to ask him to wait...
Dr. Sullen just walked away without looking back.
She silently stopped her movement, put her hand back under the blanket, and secretly grabbed the blanket from inside.
The last time she ran away after flirting with the man in front of her in a top-floor hotel suite, this time he caught her right away! She even took the initiative to ask him to put the ointment on her!
'Did he agree to come because he wants to get back at me? Will he deliberately cripple my feet and say something cold to me like, 'You little troublemaker, do you still want to run? Will it be like this?' Angelina had a moment of wild imagination.
However, she quickly forgot about the melodramatic plot that would only appear in those romance novels. The most important thing for her right now was to get this over with.
Angelina blinked and said quietly, "Mr. Fuller, you are not trained to administer medicine to others, are you? Then don't bother. I can ask the nurse to help me."
Keith looked at her and spoke slowly, "Miss Jefferson, wouldn't you like me to help you apply the ointment?"
Angelina said with a thoughtful tone, "Well, Mr. Fuller, I just remembered that you have such a high social status that I couldn't bear to bother you with your perfect hands applying the ointment to me!"
She was very articulate and gave a really good reason in a flattering way.
Well, she thought he would be happy and agree with her flattery and not apply the ointment to her.
As she expected, after she finished flattering him, Keith took a few steps forward, bent down, and placed the ointment on the nightstand next to the hospital bed.
Angelina secretly breathed a sigh of relief and said, "I'll press the call button myself. Mr. Fuller, thank you for coming. Don't be bothered."
As Keith stood beside her and looked at her arched, smiling eyes and eyebrows, he knew she didn't want him to help her apply the ointment.
Keith deliberately changed his voice a little and said in a low voice, "Miss Jefferson, help me a little."
