Chapter 8 Call Her Angie
Keith tried to restrain himself as much as possible. His fingers were slightly bent as he knocked on the closed cubicle door. "Miss Jefferson."
He called out three times, but there was no response from inside.
Keith stopped his knocking for a moment as if he had thought of something, and then he lowered his voice.
Then, it became the voice that she loved when he had been chatting with her over the phone over the days.
He no longer chatted with her online with that voice. Now, there was only a door between them.
Keith's voice was low and husky, as if it had a magical power to soothe.
Just like that, he called out, "Angie."
It was the nickname of Angelina.
Keith had been calling her Angie on the phone.
Angelina, who was leaning against the cold door, had been half-conscious for a long time, but upon hearing her nickname, she seemed to regain her senses.
She wondered, "Angie? Is that Might Keith's voice? Is Might Keith calling me?"
She gave a wry smile and thought, "Alas! Why am I still having hallucinations? Might Keith couldn't possibly be in the women's restroom. I'm feeling so unwell now. Why hadn't Janet come yet?"
The floor was too cold. Angelina leaned against the door and tried to stand up, but she was too weak to do that.
Hearing the sound from the cubicle, Keith called out softly, "Angie?"
Afraid that she might mistake him for Mr. Chanderson's subordinate, Keith tried to lower his voice as much as possible, as if to soothe her. "Good girl! Open the door."
Angelina's cheeks flushed, adding much charm to her.
She wondered, "Why does Might Keith's voice keep echoing in my ears? Has he jumped out of the phone?"
Although she knew this idea was absurd, she still stood up against the door and, inexplicably, opened the cubicle door.
The cold lock eased some of the discomforts in her body.
The moment the lock chilled her fingertips, Angelina even felt as if an electric current were passing through her body.
With a click, the door was opened from the inside.
Keith leaned to the side, giving her space to walk out.
However, Angelina's legs went weak and she couldn't stand steady at all.
There was a small step in front of her, but she missed it and fell straight to the ground.
Angelina let out a soft cry and instinctively closed her eyes.
However, the expected pain didn't come. Instead, she fell into a cool embrace.
After the accident, she felt dizzy and her face was hot.
Angelina clung to Keith, feeling weak all over.
At this moment, she had completely lost self-awareness. She only knew that being held was comfortable, and she loved this cool embrace.
The nice cooling sensation Keith brought her even made her ignore the pain in her twisted ankle.
It felt comfortable to be embraced, and she wanted to be held in his arms.
Keith's body was tense, as he allowed the girl to cling to him and snuggle into his arms.
Her eyelashes were long. She looked up at him with confusion, her eyes extremely clear.
She was like an innocent girl who knew nothing of the world, but she also exuded an irresistible charm.
She was truly a seductive stunner.
Keith held her with one hand and took off his suit jacket with the other.
Angelina was an actress in the entertainment industry. If someone with bad intentions saw her going out of Night Siren in this state, there would surely be a lot of negative news about her, and she would have no way to explain.
"No, I don't want it. I feel hot." Her tone was soft and sweet, and her words were slightly slurred.
Keith held her in his arms, and his breath quickened. "Hot?"
Angelina nodded, snuggling into his arms. It seemed as if she was seeking a source of water and looking for a cool place to relieve herself.
