Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1061

A group of people was lounging on a few sofas in the garden, under the shade of beautiful canopies, surrounded by a picturesque landscape of mountains and clear rivers.

They were having an enjoyable conversation until Ryan chimed in, "Ian, you're here."

Ryan had been mostly silent, keeping an eye on Judith as she chatted amiably with the well-heeled ladies, seemingly to show off her popularity.

Judith, with her high status and innocent appearance, was indeed easy to like.

Ryan's words drew everyone's attention to a figure not too far away. There was at least a couple dozen people present there, with an equal number of men and women.

They saw Ian leaning down, asking Maja something, his hands cradling her face.

He was asking to check if she wanted to stick around that place, "If you're feeling uncomfortable, we can leave."

Tyler was such a deadbeat, incapable of handling even the smallest tasks.

Maja shook her head. If she left at that moment, people would say that she was deliberately avoiding Judith, which would only make things more uncomfortable for her later.

Moreover, hadn't those people been criticizing her origins recently? Most probably assumed that she would spend the rest of her life in Ian's villa, not daring to venture out, especially considering her recent embarrassing incident at the hotel.

"Maja, let's go."

Ian had planned that outing to cheer her up. Seeing her unhappy, he grabbed her wrist, intending to lead her away from that place.

Maja shook her head, instead letting Rocky down from her lap.

Rocky shook out his fur and nuzzled against her knee affectionately.

The crowd was instantly captivated by Rocky, with several of the women standing up, their eyes full of admiration for the dog.

"What breed is that dog? It looks so majestic."

Upon seeing Rocky, Judith's face stiffened. She touched her chest, feeling a sharp pain.

Thankfully, she had taken medication earlier, and her brother would be joining them later.

She stood up, smiling as she approached Ian.

"Ian."

That time, she deliberately didn't add the word "darling", fearing that Ian might just go a bit too far and embarrass her in front of everyone.
