The doctor continued, pulling out an IV needle, intending to insert it into Maja's hand.
But upon seeing the needle, Eric shot up from his seat.
It was as if a painful memory had resurfaced, causing him to take a step back.
The doctor looked at him, surprised, assuming he feared needles.
"Sir, if needles make you uncomfortable, just look away."
Eric lowered his eyes, his fingers trembling slightly. His anguish spread like spider webs, wrapping him tightly.
He felt like he was suffocating, desperately trying to breathe, but the webs only tightened more.
The doctor didn't look at him but inserted the needle into Maja's hand.
Eric tried to control his trembling fingers.
The doctor stood up, "When the IV bag is empty, remember to remove the needle."
Eric looked up, a hint of confusion in his eyes.
The doctor simply nodded politely and left.
Eric, so worried about Maja, should be staying by her side.
But he sat at a distance on the single-seater couch as if the place where she lay was a lion's den.
After some time, he heard Maja's pained voice.
Turning around, he saw that her blood had started to flow back into the tube.
He rushed forward, trying to remove the needle from her hand, but the memories in his mind overwhelmed him. His fingers trembled, unable to grip the needle.
He felt sick, aiming for the needle, but his hand kept missing.
After several attempts, he grew more anxious.
Eric, the golden boy, never thought he'd be bested by a needle.
Maja opened her eyes to see a worried face.

Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
When will the author update to finish Beck's story? What about Dylan and Tyler's love lives?
