Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1157

"I'm not afraid. The worst-case scenario is that my company gets bought out by the Sanders family. They've been managing their own entertainment company quite well these years, and Mr. Sanders is a man of vision. He wouldn't make things difficult for my artists."

That was the worst-case scenario.

She looked at the drink in her hand, taking another sip. "Even if the Sanders family has any ill intentions towards me, I've got nothing to fear. In the end, it's just one life at stake."

Ian poured her another glass, cautioning her kindly, "The alcohol content isn't high, but don't overdo it."

"What brand of wine is this? It's quite pleasant and suits my taste."

"If you'd like, I can have Jeff deliver some to your place at Rosewood Manor."

"Mmm, sounds good."

She lazily reached over, picking at the fruit platter next to her, popping a few pieces into her mouth.

The combination of this particular fruit and wine had a catalytic effect that got one drunk quickly.

Ian held his patience, counting. This was her fifth glass.

Maja felt her cheeks getting warmer. She frowned, lightly propping her body up in an attempt to alleviate the heat.

At this moment, Ian reached out, gently massaging her shoulders.

Hot springs, fine wine, delicious food, and beautiful company; anyone would be intoxicated.

Maja felt somewhat dizzy, she had admitted countless times that Ian's face was the most stunning she had ever seen.

In the dimly lit environment, the allure was even more potent, especially with his bare upper body. The cool fingertips on her shoulder were a stark contrast to her rising body temperature.

Her gaze fell on his lips, they were thin.

Confirming that she was a bit tipsy, Ian asked while continuing to massage her, "What do you think of my brother?"

Maja was in a daze, at times feeling dizzy, at other times feeling relaxed from his massage, her alertness completely diminished.

"Your brother? Eric? I've heard of him from Grandpa Holden and my master. He seems quite outstanding."

Her words were not completely familiar.

Ian's lips curved into a smile. He slowly leaned in, "Is that so? Then why is your phone's passcode his birthday?"

Even though Maja was drunk, she felt that this accusation was a bit too much.

"My passcode has always been the same. I'm just too lazy to change it."
