Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1159

Just as he had said, the next day while Maja was reviewing documents at work, she couldn't help but recall the scene of him stirring the porridge silently as she demanded explanations from him.

She had known long ago that Ian had a knack for melting hearts.

Taking a deep breath, she called in Zoey.

“Mr. Pennyfeather?”

“Zoey, could you help me find which brand of burn cream is the best? We need to send it over to the Raymond Corporation.”

Without asking why, Zoey did as instructed.

When Ian received the burn cream, he simply raised an eyebrow. He didn't use it, but put it in a desk drawer.

A morning passed and he didn't text Maja.

Maja didn't ask either, but he was in no hurry.

In the evening, Coral invited Maja for a meetup, saying she wanted to discuss the investment she had promised, particularly the casting.

When Maja met Coral at the BlueSky Bar, Coral was dressed in an exquisite ladies’ suit.

They both looked like successful career women, but with different auras.

Coral seemed cold on the surface, but there was an underlying air of nonchalance.

Maja was cold inside and out, but her heart was the softest.

She noticed the bruise on Coral's wrist and lightly raised an eyebrow, "Did your brother do that?"

Hearing her brother Barton being mentioned, Coral rubbed her temples.

“I don't know if it's the pressure of being in the senior year. He's been acting a bit strange lately. He told me he had a great talk with you and promised to improve his grades."

Leaning back, Coral shook her glass of wine, "What did you talk about with him, Ms. Pennyfeather?"

"Love affairs."

Caught off guard, Coral paused and sighed, "How did I not think of this? He started school two years later than others and had always been sensible. Maybe it's his rebellious phase. he's in love and being stubborn. I can understand."

Maja realized that she was completely oblivious to the boy's troubles.

"Do you have a boyfriend, Coral?"
