Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1205

"It's not what you think, come back with me."

Ian stayed put, his back to her, his tone heavy.

"No, I'll stay here, don't want to be a bother."

Maja got up, pretending to be angry.

"If you keep this up, I'm leaving."

The corner of Ian's eyes instantly fell on her as she began to walk away. He hastily got up.

But he didn't chase after her, just stood there, like a convict awaiting his sentence.

Maja sighed, "Take my hand, I'll walk you home."

Only then did he look at her directly and removed his shoes.

"Maja, wear these."

Even in his drunken state, he remembered she was barefoot.

Maja felt a pang in her heart, unsure of what to do with Ian.

If Patric vividly describes the events of that night to him, she'd feel too embarrassed to face him.

"I can't, your shoes are too big."

He put them back on, crouched slightly, "Then, should I carry you? Like when we went hiking that day."

One of the few sweet memories they shared.

"You're drunk. You can't even walk straight, let alone carry me."

She held onto his arm, "Ian, I'll help you walk."

"No, you're not wearing shoes."

He took out his phone, surprisingly coherent enough to call Jeff and ask him to bring a pair of women's shoes.

Finally, he added.

"Maja's size."

Maja looked at him curiously, He didn't seem drunk anymore.

But as soon as he hung up, the phone slipped from his hand and fell with a thud.

She picked up the phone, and before she could even stand up straight, he pulled her into his lap.

He took a napkin from the table and began cleaning her feet.

Maja was a bit embarrassed but didn't resist.

After finishing, he tossed the napkin into the trash, wrapped his arm around her waist, and leaned against her, falling asleep.
