The faint aroma of medicine lingered on the sheets, imbuing the air with a tranquil ambiance.
Maja had anticipated a night of nightmares, yet even in her unconscious state, she experienced a sense of tranquility.
The man sat by her bedside. Seeing her deep in slumber, he rose, drawing the curtains across the windows to shield the room from the sunlight outside.
Inside, another man reported to him.
"Ian and Dylan are locking horns, Dylan's already initiated a complete blockage on the Raymond Corporation’s projects."
"Hmm."
The man's tone was light as he looked out. He was smiling, "And throw Eric into the mix, the chaos begins, doesn’t it?"
His gaze wandered over the distant garden, before returning to settle on Maja.
After falling asleep, Maja was very peaceful.
The next step would be to snap her lingering feelings for Ian.
Sentimental affection would only cloud her future decisions.
What he needed wasn’t a decision-maker easily swayed by a man.
The room fell into silence, his fingers playing with the still-burning incense, as the man beside him spoke.
"Although this incense has a calming effect, combined with the medicine you've given her, it could cause her to be in a daze. Sir, it would be prudent to be careful with these two."
"I know my limits. I won't harm her."
The other man said no more, quietly retreating from the room.
Ian had a nightmare. He woke up abruptly, gasping for breath.

Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
When will the author update to finish Beck's story? What about Dylan and Tyler's love lives? Also, I'll like the author to write on Wilma and Elvis ending up together as she was quite persistent in pursuing him. And Shawn's story, Cornelia Sullivan and Omar Casson.
