Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1272

Maja remained motionless, as if she had been petrified. As the man approached, the scent that belonged to Ian grew stronger.

She opened her mouth to speak but closed it again, pushing him away.

This man couldn't be Ian. Someone must be pretending to be him.

However, in the next moment, the man held her tightly.

Maja stiffened. As soon as she collected herself, she began to pummel her fists against his back.

"Ah!"

"Ah!"

She could only utter a single sound, her hands wildly beating against his back.

Upon hearing her sound, Ian froze, his eyes wide in disbelief.

The pain was unspeakable, as if his soul was being ripped apart and his body being hacked into pieces, then reassembled.

He gripped Maja's shoulders tightly, his voice hoarse, "What happened to your voice?"

He was so shocked, so heartbroken, that he forgot to disguise his own voice.

Maja stiffened, thinking she was hallucinating.

Ian?

She opened her eyes wide, then lowered her gaze, trying to cover her eyes.

Ian, however, firmly held her hands, his eyes blazing with anger.

"What happened to your eyes? And your voice? Who did this?"

Maja panicked, pushing him away and trying to run.

But she couldn't see. The moment she pushed him away, she fell to the ground.

Ian was shaking from the pain. He lifted her up, pulling her into his arms.

"Don't be scared, I'm here. I'll get you out of here. Don't be scared."

"Ah, ah, ah."

She pointed frantically at her earring, then at the outside.

Ian didn't understand. He removed her earring, seeing her swollen earlobe, he felt a pang in his heart.

He threw the earring out of the window, his eyes burning with rage.

"Don't be scared. I'll get you out of here, Maja."

Maja didn't know what to say and suddenly fell silent.

She didn't know if Mr. K was constantly monitoring her and if he had heard that Ian had come here.

She quickly cleared her mind, her hands moving on the ground, trying to grab Ian's hand.

Tears welled up in Ian's eyes as he grabbed her hands, "We'll never be apart again."

He wanted to hold her.

"Ah!"

Maja clumsily held onto him, her fingers gripping his as she began to tap out a message on the floor.

Ian watched her with red eyes, finally understanding.
