Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1280

At four in the morning in Greenfield, everything was quiet as a whisper.

A man held a tiny earpiece between his fingers, a tool used solely to listen to Maja's voice from across the distance. But he'd lost contact with her two days ago.

How foolish. It seemed Ian's words had swayed her once again.

With a sigh, he put down the earpiece. A soft voice queried from his side.

"Mr. K, what should we do now?"

Were they just going to let Ms. Pennyfeather stay with Patric?

He didn't respond right away, his eyes narrowing slightly.

The room became silent, as if his aura demanded it.

After a long pause, he tossed the earpiece into a nearby trash bin.

"Tell Patric that Ian is most likely hiding in his mansion."

With that, he leaned back and closed his eyes.

"Also, send someone to inform Maja. If she doesn't care about Lillian's fate, then she can continue to entangle herself with Ian. I'll be leaving on the evening of the 5th next month. She can decide whether to cooperate with me or not."

"Understood, sir."

His bodyguard looked at him with some admiration. After all, he was currently the most powerful man, managing the entirety of BK with ease.

The bodyguard soon left.

Half an hour later, Patric received the news.

"You think Ian's hiding here?"

A smile played on his lips as his gaze swept over the silent bodyguards around him. No one spoke.

Patric's smile faded.

"I see. I'll find him."

As Maja was resting in her room, she heard a soft knock on her window. It was a message from Mr. K, asking if she truly didn't care about Lillian's fate.

How could Maja not care?

Her eyelashes fluttered as she heard her bedroom door open.

Patric entered without a word and went straight into the bathroom.

There were only Maja's toiletries in the bathroom, but when he opened the medicine cabinet behind the mirror, he found a set of men's toiletries.

What a clever hiding place!

His eyes flashed dangerously as he returned to the bed and found a short strand of men's hair on the pillow.

"Maja!"

Furious, he strode to her side.

"Do you have a death wish? You dare to hide a man in my house?"

His grip on her chin tightened, and she winced.

He took a deep breath, his chest heaving.
