Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1347

Maja stood outside the villa, and before she could utter a word, the wrought-iron gate behind her creaked open. She stepped through the entrance.

The scenery was quaint, not the grandeur of an opulent estate, but cozy, similar to the kind of place where you'd find a lovely old couple spending their golden years.

With a slow exhale, Maja used her key to unlock the living room door, finding a few housekeepers busy tidying up.

Upon her arrival, they didn't show much emotion, just nodded slightly, and continued their chores.

Maja had been running around all day; she was both tired and famished.

"Could you get some clothes ready for me? I'd like a bite to eat as well, I feel filthy," she asked the staff.

"Ms. Pennyfeather, Phelps instructed us already. I'll show you upstairs," one of the housekeepers replied.

Phelps's thoughtfulness impressed Maja, "Thank you, that would be great."

After a soothing bath upstairs, Maja caught sight of the fading whip marks on her skin and frowned. Ian would be devastated if he saw them.

But without that special kind of lotion to soak in, the marks wouldn't heal as quickly as they used to.

Her fingertips traced the scars, sometimes doubting if she and K really lived in the same world. How else could there be such miraculous lotion that, while intensifying pain, could heal wounds in just a few days?

She shook off the thoughts, eager to meet Ian and share with him the route to K's villa – a place of great significance to BK, and the hub for core agents like 002 and 003.

If only she could get in touch with Ian, she'd deliver this crucial piece of intel.

She faintly remembered the way.
