Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1351

He spoke nothing but the truth, and only by grasping the consequences could Zoey know what to do next.

Frozen like she'd been struck by a spell, Zoey watched helplessly as he opened the door and left.

Memories of her times with Fitch began to flood her mind. He was always expressionless, always ready with a biting, humiliating remark.

Aside from physical needs, the little help he offered was merely because he found sleeping with her to be somewhat enjoyable.

That was his own admission.

Fitch hadn’t slept with any other women; he didn’t even want to try, his disdain for them etched deep into his bones.

Zoey broke his routine, and though he despised it, he thought since it had happened, why not a few more times? It was a good release.

That was his logic, so why should he show her a kind face?

Zoey sat on the couch until her body nearly stiffened from the long wait. Then she heard Fitch's footsteps descending the stairs, and soon he was holding her in his arms.

“What’s wrong?” he asked, seeing her troubled expression.

She forced a smile, shook her head, and remained silent.

Fitch kissed her ear and then playfully tugged at her scarf, revealing marks all over her neck. Her lips were swollen, too.

He couldn’t resist kissing her again but ended up kissing the palm of her hand.

“Fitch, I’m a bit tired.”

But his kisses were gentle, like a soft rain, and in an instant, she melted again.

He looked at her with such tenderness that she couldn’t think straight.

Fitch then kissed away her tears.

Getting up, he frowned at her wet eyes.

“Zoey, what is it?”

After a long hesitation, she wrapped her arms around his waist, holding him tightly.

He chuckled, patting her back softly.

“Fitch, when you say you like me, is it true?”

“Yeah.”
