Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1375

Maja was sound asleep in his arms, oblivious to their conversation.

The bodyguard at the door approached to report, "Sir, Ms. Pennyfeather's phone has been fixed."

Ian took the phone, twirling it in his palm.

"However, someone had installed a program on Ms. Pennyfeather's phone that wiped all information. The hacker couldn't recover anything. We've removed all that junk, and now it's just a regular smartphone."

Ian grunted in acknowledgment, though he hadn't held out much hope.

He rubbed his temples and motioned for someone to fetch Patric.

Patric had been using the excuse of searching for lost memories to wander around the seventh floor lately.

If he couldn't come up with something soon, Ian wasn't inclined to wait any longer.

When Patric arrived, he raised an eyebrow at the sight of Maja.

Ian was sitting on the couch, his voice casual.

"Remember anything yet?"

Patric instinctively moved to sit on the other side, but Ian's frown stopped him.

"Patric, do you think I brought you overseas for a vacation?"

Patric's gaze lingered on Maja, and after a long pause, he asked, "What's wrong with her?"

Ian's hand gently caressed her head, filled with tenderness.

"Is it you asking, or is it my brother Eric?"

Patric frowned; he couldn't tell.

The space was quiet, and after a long standoff, Ian said hoarsely, "She's been hypnotized. She hasn't forgotten me, but she's not herself anymore."

Patric's frown deepened. He had an uncontrollable urge to step forward, but he knew all too well that Ian was incredibly possessive.

He moved a few steps closer, stopping a meter away from Maja.

"Hypnotized?"

Ian nodded, his tone even more subdued, but his eyes betrayed his calm.

"The hypnosis was accompanied by drug administration, a trademark move of those people."

Hearing this, Patric felt Eric stirring within him. Every time he was near Maja, Eric's consciousness became very active.

Ian waited, then saw the man before him slowly crouch down, studying Maja's face intently.
