Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1383

Maja and Ian held each other until their emotions settled down. Her fingertips finally rested gently on his chest.

"Promise me you won't do that again."

"I promise."

Her fingers, adorned with a ring, couldn't help but curl slightly. "Once all this is over, let's get married."

A tremor ran through Ian's chest, and he buried his head into her neck.

"Yeah, get married."

Maja's hand slowly clasped his, and their ring-adorned fingers intertwined firmly.

"I remember everything now. In fact, right from the very first day I followed K to that mansion, I was being subtly subjected to his hypnotic experiments. He was so confident in his methods."

"Was it Phelps?"

Ella snuggled closer to him, seeking comfort. "I always had this familiar feeling about K, but it never associated that with Dr. Herrington, especially since the identity of twins is such a closely guarded secret. Now, with him playing his hand, he has exposed himself, but probably he doesn't realize I've regained my memories."

She gripped his hand with a calm and determined look.

"I know where his mansion is. We could launch a surprise attack, give that smug strategist a taste of defeat."

"What's your plan?"

Maja leaned in close, whispering a few words into Ian's ear.

He raised an eyebrow slightly and chuckled, "The same as what I was thinking."

At two in the morning.

A fleet of helicopters took off, heading towards their target location.

At three, small artillery shells rained down on the mansion Maja had been in.

The people inside had no idea what was happening; they heard only a series of explosions, one after another.

In Greenfield, Ian was already bold enough to raze someone's mansion to the ground.

Now in North America, he could have even greater audacity.

The business of fight clubs was inherently shady, in lawless lands where everyone turned a blind eye.

"Boom!"
