Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1394

The tone was exactly the same as before.

Zoey's last shred of hope was extinguished, leaving her speechless and her cheeks scorching with a mix of pain and humiliation. And there was Mia, fanning the flames.

"You heard what my brother said, didn't you? Now scram! Or I'll have you thrown out."

Zoey didn't look back at anyone as she walked away, head down.

Mia's snort of disdain followed her, "Some women just can't see their place, thinking they're all high and mighty after a couple of rolls in the hay. They don't even realize they're just trash from the gutter."

After her words, Mia even gossiped about Zoey with her clique.

Mia's circle was large and, although Maja had put her in her place once - leaving her somewhat afraid of Maja - she felt no fear towards Zoey. She even thought she could regain her lost pride from Maja by taking it out on Zoey.

With a cold laugh, Mia quickly followed Fitch's orders and summoned Tyler.

Entering the hospital room and not seeing Zoey, Tyler was puzzled. After all, before the surgery, Fitch had been all over her with affection, and Zoey had seemed so concerned. It was odd that now that Fitch was awake, she had left.

"Where's Zoey?"

Tyler wasn't fond of Maja but had a decent impression of Zoey. To him, Maja's antics were too much - she had once been Ian's wife, yet cheated and fooled around with his buddies.

But Zoey was different. She seemed loyal and was personally chosen by Ian to take care of things, her background undoubtedly clean.

"Why are you asking about her?"

Fitch's brows were furrowed with irritation and even a hint of nausea. He threw off the covers and got out of bed without hesitation, heading to the bathroom.

Tyler stood at the door, shaking his head slightly at Fitch's annoyed face.

"You seemed pretty nice to her when you had memory loss."
