No matter how much she screamed, there was no sign of Dylan anywhere on the boat.

As the cage began its descent toward the river's murky depths, she finally shouted at the top of her lungs, "Tell Dylan if he gets me killed, Augus is never waking up, and it's no heart attack, I poisoned him! I went there to feed him the poison, to end Augus for good. Too bad Beck got in my way. Only a drop got in, but even that's enough to keep Augus asleep for life!"

The bodyguards' faces turned ashen when they heard her words. They had been on speakerphone the whole time, and everything Judith was saying was being heard by Dylan.

Dylan's phone lay next to him while he was trying to drown his sorrows in a bottle of hard liquor, trying desperately to get drunk, but ironically, only sobering up more.

He vividly remembered how he had forced the poison down Maja's throat to mute her, how he had slapped her.

Judith was fearless now. She was going to be drowned anyway. Nothing she did could make Dylan hate her more.

All she wanted now was to save her own life.
