Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1717

When Felix returned to the living room, Carol had already freshened up and was lounging on the couch, engrossed in the latest reality TV show.

Walking over to the foyer, Felix tidied up his shoes, only to hear her call out, “Felix, I’ve got a gift for you today, too. Go take a shower first.”

Skeptical, he showered and came back to find a designer suit laid out on the sofa.

He played dumb in front of Carol, pretending he didn't recognize the high-end brands. She really thought he was clueless, often flaunting her expensive handbags worth a small fortune around him.

The clothes weren't cheap either; they were runway exclusives not yet available in stores.

“Try this on, I picked it up while passing by a boutique. I think it’ll look smashing on you. Suit up and let’s have some fun,” she said, her eyes sparkling with anticipation, not realizing there was anything amiss in her request.

Carol was always straightforward with what she wanted. At first, she feigned modesty, but soon enough, she was directing him with hands-on authority.

She grabbed the suit, clutching Felix's arm as they headed to the bedroom.

A delicate fragrance filled the room – her perfume.

Felix found himself seated on the bed as Carol pushed the designer threads towards him.

“Hurry up and change, I want to see.”

He was compliant in these matters, quickly slipping into the suit.

Felix was tall, and the suit highlighted his athletic build, complementing his demeanor perfectly.

Carol internally screamed with joy. Her taste was impeccable; the effort she put in chasing him was worth it – he was stunning!

She grabbed his tie, pulling him closer.

Playing along, Felix leaned in.

“Try kneeling on one knee,” she suggested.

He hesitated for just a second before complying.

Carol's heart raced as she placed her foot gently on his chest.

Her mind roared with the thought of buying every piece from that designer for Felix. He deserved the best, not some flea market knock-offs!

Just as she was about to tease him, she felt him grasp her foot and plant a kiss on the instep.

A tingling sensation washed over Carol, and her cheeks flushed crimson.

She had only intended to play, like in the movies, but he was improvising.

Impressed, she had thought he was shy in bed, always hiding his face from her.

“Felix, tonight I want to see your face, okay?”

She tugged on his tie, pulling him to his feet.

Felix stiffened, slowly standing up. “I’ll wash my face.”

“You’re not nervous, are you?”

“No.”
