Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1776

Maja was enveloped in the warmth of these two men’s consolation when it hit her - the crucial piece of the puzzle.

She blinked, and stood up abruptly, "The seal, the jellyfish seal!"

It was something planted by Cynthia, back when she was still known as Lillian, and she had instructed Maja that should she ever face danger, she could use it.

And danger was exactly what loomed now.

"Dylan, remember when Abner's guys blew up Summer's place? Didn't they find a seal? Get in touch with Abner and ask him to send it over."

Dylan didn't waste a second and called Abner, who was nearby in Greenfield and promptly delivered the item himself.

It wasn't something he'd acquired in North America but had come into his possession in Cania. Amidst the chaos at a research base, he had sent his men to help the Sanders family look for Ian.

They never found Ian, but they stumbled upon this peculiarly shaped seal. His men brought it back, and now that Maja wanted it, he had no desire to keep it.

He sat on the couch, his tone heavy with gravity, "Speaking of which, when Walter's people were with me, one of them, a bit of a prankster, found a couple of wooden dolls, names carved into them. Those trinkets were picked up on the way to Summer's bombing - no clue who dropped them, but they sure looked interesting."

Wooden dolls? Maja hadn't been paying much attention until the mention of their unusual shapes made her eyes red.

Lillian used to make things like that for her. Back then, when times were tight and other kids flaunted their toys, Maja felt envious but knew better than to ask her mother, not wanting to add to her burdens.

And yet, unbeknownst to her, Lillian had secretly crafted these toys from wood, each one exquisitely made.
