Felix cracked a smile at that moment. "Nathan, you think I treated Listina well?"

"I'd move mountains to get her whatever she wanted, no matter how pricey or, in my eyes, pointless, because I felt I had to be good to her. It was like a debt the Brown family owed her. Honestly, a lot of her demands were pretty unreasonable. Back in college, she had a taste for designer labels, and I'd work extra shifts to get them for her, even handed over my scholarship money the moment it came in.
