Maybe it was because she had adopted a "screw it" attitude, but right now, she wasn't the least bit scared of any reprisal from him.
She sat in the car, watching him approach step by step.
Felix reached her car door and yanked it open with a swift pull.
Carol always thought his eyes were red, as if he had cried.
But that was impossible. Felix, that sneaky devil, cry?
She was yanked out of the car.
She could hear his breathing heavy, and his chest heaving.
His eyes, now bloodshot, stared intently into hers, and finally, he grasped her wrist tightly and pulled her toward a car parked in the distance.
At this moment, Nathan got out of his vehicle, ready to intervene.
But Felix was quick, kicking Nathan away with a swift blow.
Nathan hit the ground hard, barely suppressing the urge to vomit blood.
Carol's wrist throbbed with pain, and she couldn't help but yell, "Let go, I don't want to marry you!"
"You don't want the settlement either?"
"Felix, you're never this kind-hearted. You're a scoundrel, a devil. You'd even use a child in your schemes. How can I ever trust you?"
He wouldn't actually give her a settlement; he just wanted to toy with her until she broke.
Felix's grip suddenly loosened; it felt like his whole body was struck by paralysis.
He tried to smile but couldn't.
He just let his mouth droop.
"You're right, I'm a scoundrel. Seems like you've figured out you're pregnant."
Carol's pupils shrank, and she bit her lip hard.
He stepped closer, gently tucking her disheveled hair behind her ear.
"Cut the drama, let's go back and have a proper wedding. Don't stress the baby."
He had his voice softened, completely ignoring Nathan who was crumpled to the side.

Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
When will the author update to finish Beck's story? What about Dylan and Tyler's love lives?
