Chapter 191 

She called out, only to find the guy’s head resting on the edge of the couch, seemingly he had fallen asleep. 

Maja breathed a sigh of relief, luckily he didn’t mean not to respond to her, otherwise, it would have been very embarrassing. Now that he was asleep, her plan could not be realized tonight, so she had to get up and prepare to leave. But then she noticed his slightly unbuttoned collar and thought better of it. She grabbed a blanket from nearby, bending over to cover him. 

But just as she was leaning over, lan’s eyes fluttered open. 

Right then, they were up close and personal, each could feel the other’s breathing. 

Even though Maja had been this close to his face before, at that moment, she felt kinda spaced out. 

Until a warm breath brushed past her lips and her pupils dilated in surprise, her body rigid. 

The warmth slowly concentrated on her lips, and then someone was kissing her. 

It felt like a certain sensation had instantly gripped her heart. 

Maja snapped out of it and immediately stood up straight. 

lan was still lounging on the couch, his eyes closed, as if the kiss was all a dream. 

Maybe it was the alcohol, but Maja felt her cheeks heating up. She quickly covered him with the blanket and hightailed it out of there. 

When the door closed, lan opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling, a hint of confusion in his gaze. 

But then, he closed his eyes again, as if he thought he was dreaming. 

Maja stepped out into the night air, and only after a gust of wind blew past did she start to calm down. 

She raised her hand and lightly touched her lips. 

The last time they played Truth or Dare, that kiss lasted for thirty seconds. 

This time it was only four or five seconds, shorter than last time, but the aftershock was way more intense. 

She touched her forehead, wondering what the hell just happened. 

She hoped that when lan woke up the next morning, he wouldn’t remember this incident. 

After all, she was the one who went to cover him with the blanket and he was a bit drunk, so he might wake up and think she did it on purpose. 

Maja felt like she had already dealt with enough drama lately, and now with the returned order, she could only turn to lan for help. 

So she had to wait until lan sobered up to discuss it with him. 

Maja regretted it all the way until she laid down. 

He was drunk, and the kiss came slowly. It was his face that confused her, so she didn’t have time to push him away. 

If this led to another misunderstanding, then lan might not help her explain things to Ms. Maureen. 

She decided to wait until he sobered up to talk about it. 

The next morning, there was nothing Maja could do because the order was refunded. If the Greenfield issue wasn’t resolved, the Crystalbrook Valley Cherry Wood Flooring would have to be put on hold. 

Around eleven in the afternoon, she figured lan would be sober by then, so she tried giving him a call. 

lan was in a meeting at the time, seeing the incoming call, a flicker of emotion passed through his eyes. 

But he didn’t pick up, just silenced his phone, signaling the executives in front of him to continue. 

“Sorry, the number you have dialed is not available, please try again later…” 

Hearing the automated voice message, Maja felt a little down, unable to gauge lan’s situation. 

She decided to pay a visit to the Raymond Corporation.
