Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1975

Zoey pursed her lips, a frown creasing her forehead.

"Stand up, will you?"

But Fitch remained on his knees, continuing to massage her legs.

"No, I'll get up once you've cooled down."

She opened her mouth to respond but ended up just sighing deeply.

"Alright, I'm cool. Stand up now."

A smile tugged at Fitch’s lips as he rose to sit beside her on the bed, eagerly continuing his task.

Zoey stayed silent, watching him work so earnestly. She couldn't help but recall how compliant he had been when he was sick, reminding her of Nolan's innocence back in preschool. It softened her heart all over again.

Fitch massaged her for a good half-hour before asking if she still felt sore.

She closed her eyes, resigning herself.

"Nope, I'm just going to rest today. Not getting out of bed."

"Alright, just let me know if you get hungry."

Soon after, she drifted back to sleep, leaving Fitch and Nolan to enjoy dinner together.

After eating, Nolan, ever so curious, asked, "Mommy, why are you so tired?"

Fitch was in a particularly great mood, practically glowing with an aura of pink bubbles.

"When you get a wife, you'll understand. You're still young."
