Jason arched an eyebrow slightly and had his men place Morgan on the ground before heading to the foyer.
Beck stood alone in the foyer, his brow furrowing at the sight of Morgan, covered in blood.
Jason knew Beck, knew he couldn't cross him, which is why Beck dared come alone.
He hadn't expected that such a nobody like Morgan would warrant Beck's personal attention.
His men shoved Morgan forward.
Morgan had no strength left, crawling on the ground like a beaten dog, his face smudged with blood.
"Beck, Beck, save me," he whispered so faintly, it was nearly inaudible.
Beck signaled for his men to start counting the cash they'd brought over in boxes.
Jason, seated at the center of the action, watched as his foyer filled with boxes, with men tallying up the cash.
A smirk played on his lips. "Beck, I heard the Sanders family welcomed a new gal, Stella?"
Beck's brow tensed, clearly not interested in engaging further.
Jason seemed to savor a memory.
"She used to be called Stella. Oh, she was the most obedient when she was with me. Crawled so perfectly on the ground. Shame I never got to 'taste' her before she turned into a Sanders. You Sanders folks sure know how to pick 'em."
He stretched a leg over a nearby stool, his smirk widening.
"I had a few special collars made just for her."
As he spoke, his men brought out the collars – black, silver, and gold, each unique and somewhat sinister in design.
Beck's mind raced to the peculiar fetishes some folks in their circles entertained.
The tamed never found it humiliating, some even found pleasure in their conditioning.
He hadn't expected Stella to share such tastes.
His brow creased slightly, but he stayed silent, allowing the cash counting to continue.
Jason, noting Beck's indifference, realized Stella hadn't truly won the Sanders' affection.
Maybe he could reclaim his "dog"?
His smirk deepened, a finger curling in signal.
A man quickly approached.
"Jason?"
"Find Stella. She hasn't settled her debt with me yet."
The man nodded and left quietly, Beck unaware of the conversation as he took Morgan away without further word.
On the way to the hospital, Morgan cursed Stella, blaming her for his predicament, especially hearing that Boris had left North America and Stella had vanished right when she was supposed to bail him out.
"That damned wench!"

The readers' comments on the novel: Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja)
Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
When will the author update to finish Beck's story? What about Dylan and Tyler's love lives? Also, I'll like the author to write on Wilma and Elvis ending up together as she was quite persistent in pursuing him. And Shawn's story, Cornelia Sullivan and Omar Casson. Also, a little write-up on Jeff (Ian's assistant) love life, too. Thanks, author for updating....
When will get update?...
What is wrong that the author has not updated this novel in over a month or is there somewhere else that I can continue reading the novel from chapter 1951 upwards? Do tell, please. Thanks....
