Mia’s so–called compromise was just her seeking an exit strategy 

She shot Maja a glaring look “If that’s the case, forget it I’m done trying to defend myself from her nasty words 

No sooner had she finished speaking, than Maja burst into laughter, which Irritated Mia immediately. She clenched her fists, thinking. “What the hell is she laughing at?” 

Maja stood up, facing her “What are you even saying? You were the one who started trashing me in front of everyone. Now that the truth is out, you don’t even apologize, and you somehow make it seem like you’re being magnanimous and letting it slide Just because you’re Mia. doesn’t mean you get all the brownie points, right?” 

Mia was so pissed that she was speechless She felt her breath growing hot She looked to Dalia, hoping she would say something She couldn’t stand all eyes on her. 

But Dalia kept her head down, whispering only loud enough for Mia to hear 

“This woman was the other woman, back when she was studying at Solstice College. She seduced an investor and his wife caught them, throwing paint all over her. Mia, you don’t owe this homewrecker an apology” 

Dalia, after all, was 35 years old and not as easily provoked as Mia. 

She kept her head down, trying her best to fade into the background, hoping to get out of the situation unscathed. 

But Mia not being the sharpest tool in the shed, lit up at the news. 

“Oh, so you’re a Solstice College alum too, and you even played the homewrecker during your college years! You got some nerve, how could you even show your face here?” 

Maja furrowed her brows, looking at Dalla. 

Dalia, on the other hand, was smirking quietly. 

As long as she hid behind Mia, no one would know it was her who dropped the bomb. 

“Oh” And who told you I was the other woman?” 

“Of course, the director. She used to teach here, just got promoted this year. I guess she must have taught you before, that’s why she recognized your face. I thought you were someone Important. Never thought you did such a dirty thing during college.” 

With that, Mia turned to the principal. 

“Sit you see, a homewrecker, who would believe her words? I bet she stole that bracelet, maybe she even sneaked Into the staff room to take it.” 

“She can’t be allowed to tarnish the reputation of Solstice College. We should find out what class she graduated from and revoke her diploma. Don’t let her keep scamming people with the name of Solstice College,” Mia was seething, but felt a sense of relief. 

The Principal was left in a bind, wiping the sweat off his forehead. He hadn’t expected this to dig up the past.

“Is that so? Is that what you told Mia?”
