Maja quickly squeezed through the crowd, using her purse to smack Carlene in the head. 

Stunned momentarily, Carlene retaliated by lunging at Maja, aiming for her throat. 

Maja was confused as hell, and she didn’t get why Carlene was so heated.. 

Luckily, the mall security arrived just in time. 

Maja kept her composure, whereas Carlene was a hot mess, her eyes shooting daggers at Maja. 

Meanwhile, on the mall’s second floor, a man stood on the spacious balcony with a cocky smirk on his face. Resting his chin on one hand and gripping the railing, he asked, “Are all Greenfield women this feisty?” 

There was a sparkle in his eye that seemed to outshine the brightest stars, but his true feelings were hidden. 

A composed man standing next to him warned, “My flight is about to take off, don’t make trouble for me here.” 

“When have I ever been a bother?” he retorted. 

“You know damn well what I’m talking about. Cut ties with these complicated women. I don’t want to see your scandals in the news.” 

Beck Sanders sighed, eyes still fixed on the scene below. 

“Got it.” 

The composed man didn’t respond. He just turned and walked away. 

Beck’s eyes sparkled with amusement, catching Carlene’s gaze below. 

Carlene froze. Was that Beck? 

What on earth was Beck doing in Greenfield? 

She was in the middle of a spat with Maja, but the sight of Beck made stopped her in her tracks. 

She quickly composed herself, shooting Maja a look of disdain. 

This pitiful woman probably doesn’t even know who Beck is! 

With a sneer, she tucked her hair behind her ear and said, “Maja, I can’t be bothered with you today.” 

Before she could finish, Maja slapped her across the face. 

Carlene touched her cheek in disbelief.

She glanced up at Beck again. He was still standing there.

In the past, Carlene had briefly chatted with the Sanders family’s daughter overseas. 

She was a spoiled brat with a bit of a temper. 

But facing such a noble family, Carlene didn’t dare to voice her opinions.
