Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 62

Chapter 62

Maja’s expression was the same as usual. She didn’t seem to realize that she was drinking someone else’s water.

When things hit the fan with the school’s dean and principal, the vice-principal stepped up to the plate, taking over the reins and charming the guests.

The chaos finally came to an end when the vice-principal personally walked up to lan to apologize.

“Mr. Raymond, I’m really sorry about this hot mess. We’ll definitely explain to all the investors and cooperate fully with the police.”

lan frowned. He liked this guy way better than the principal.

The vice-principal turned to Maja, his tone full of nostalgia, “Long time no see, Penny.”

He played a crucial role when Maja decided to pursue design. Without him, she wouldn’t have graduated under the pressure from the dean and Dalia.

“Hey, sir,” Maja responded.

The vice-principal smiled faintly, “I was the one who gave you your designer name. When I heard Mr. Raymond’s designer was called Penny, I thought I’d misheard. Seeing you now, I just hope you’re doing well.”

Years ago, he wanted to help Maja but his hands were tied. All he could do was help her keep her degree.

Dalia was the dean of the art school with extensive connections. If Maja had continued painting, she would have faced countless hurdles.

The vice-principal had asked Maja what she was planning to do. If she chose to keep painting, it would have been a dead end.

Maja had said that if the road was blocked, then she would break it and start anew.

Looking at Maja now, the vice-principal was filled with emotion. She was indeed the student he had banked on.

But he was swamped and didn’t have time to shoot the breeze. He still had to soothe the other guests at the exhibition.

After he left, Connie pinched her face, trying to figure out if all that had just happened was real.

The Penny she knew had come to the school and caused the dean and principal to be replaced?

And that snooty Mia was taken away by the police?

Connie realized she wasn’t dreaming when her face started to hurt from the pinching.

Maja also didn’t plan to stick around. She gave lan a nod as a sort of heads-up before heading towards the exit.

She needed a quiet place to digest everything. But as soon as she stepped out of the hall, she heard the thunderous sound of rain.

It was pouring cats and dogs, making the world look like a shaky landscape painting.

She didn’t bring an umbrella because it was sunny when she arrived.

The art building was isolated, with no shops within a hundred meters.

An umbrella suddenly popped open over her head. It was Samuel. “Ms Penny, you really killed it back there.”

His flippant tone made Maja frown. He had been hiding in the crowd and only showed up again after the dust settled.
