No one knew there was a mishap here except for Maja, who had been sitting in the car not far away, never driving over. 

Maja just wanted to see if Cornelia could hitch a ride, but she saw that scene instead.

“You still haven’t got a ride? I can take you home.”

“Dad, Mom.” 

The two sat in the narrow living room, both with worried looks on their faces.
