Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 956

After Holden was taken away, the room fell into an eerie silence, with only Eric's voice echoing in the air.

"What good is it for you to get those files? Without me, you can't do squat."

"That's why I need your help. If you cooperate, I'll let them live. Didn't you once wish for her early release?"

His question was met with silence.

The room felt even more oppressive.

After a long while, Eric let out a deep sigh.

But his sigh was like a stone sinking into the ocean.

Ian's men had been searching for Holden all night but to no avail.

He guessed that his grandpa might have gone willingly with those people. Otherwise, how could there be no trace left?

He had been in that position for so long. How could he not be alert?

Then, his butler called.

"Sir, we found some bloody handkerchiefs in Holden's trash can. It seems his health has not improved."

A sharp glint flashed in Ian's eyes, his voice soft but authoritative.

"How could you guys not know about his health? Hasn't the doctor been checking on him?"

"Holden has been taking his medication obediently, but the doctor has not disclosed his condition to us. And he seemed spirited all the time, and we thought his health was improving."

Ian rubbed his temples.

After hanging up, he stared into the distance.

With Grandpa's body so weak, who could possibly take him away at this point?

A thought flashed through his mind, so he immediately called Fitch.

"You said my brother is still alive. Was that true?"

"The fingerprints are recent, and there are no two identical fingerprints in the world."

"Do you think it's possible that my brother took my grandpa away?"

Holden's disappearance not only involved the Raymond family but also the people higher up.

Hearing this, Fitch became cautious, his brows furrowed.
