Chapter 6
“Astrid, or should I call you Oli?" Blaze lifted her chin. Their gazes locked. That was the face he had been dreaming of these days. They were divorced, but why couldn't he forget her?
"What's wrong with you?” Astrid felt something different and quickly pushed his hand away.
"You are now my ex-husband. Don't touch me."
Blaze was a little taken aback by those words and Astrid took the opportunity to push him away as she took a few steps back.
She glared at him with a red face.
Seeing her trying to keep her distance, Blaze sneered. "It seems you are a different person now. But | remembered you were quite cooperative that night."
Astrid didn't expect Blaze to mention what happened that night. She was rendered speechless.
Back then, she loved him, but now she didn't and couldn't. So, she snapped, "You also enjoyed it, didn't you?” With that, she walked to the sofa and sat down.
Blaze smiled but his gaze fell on Astrid’s legs. "Your legs are fine. When did you recover?"
Astrid was confused as to why Blaze suddenly noticed her legs. He never cared about her before. "That night we became divorced. | wanted to share with you the great news but you gave me one first."
Hearing her answer, Blaze was taken aback. "I'm sorry."
He didn't know it. He was sick of Althea's endless complaints that night and got drunk. When he left the hotel, there was only one thing left in his mind to get a divorce.
Astrid saw Blaze was deep in thought. She didn't know what he was thinking of this time, but he was not easy to mess with, so she glanced at the door from the corner of her eye. She didn't mean to offend him, so she'd better run away.
“Blaze, we have already divorced. Let's forget the past. | will pretend nothing happened between us."
Astrid stood up and walked towards the door.
With a beep sound, the self-defense system of the presidential suite was suddenly activated.
The whole room seemed to be protected by a layer of defense.
"Damn it. He came prepared,’ she cursed inwardly.
Blaze was alert by the noise and regained his composure. That was when he saw Astrid about to flee. He was amused by her behavior and walked toward her leisurely. He had a confident look on his face. It was as if he was staring at his prey.
Astrid leaned against the door and watched him approach her.
He wore a dark blue suit, looking decent and attractive at the same time. She had to admit that Blaze had a perfect figure.
"What is it that you're going to pretend it never happened?" Blaze walked up to Astrid and cornered her at the door again.
