Divorce Clock Ticking (Kenneth and Angela) novel Chapter 74

Angela froze for a moment. She had thought Kenneth would just throw the necklace away based on his character, but she didn't expect him to keep it.

He picked up the necklace and looked at Angela. "Let me put it on you."

"Okay."

Angela gathered her hair up, and Kenneth leaned over to put the necklace on her. The two were so close that they could almost hear each other breathing.

It wasn't like the two hadn't been this close before, but Angela's face heated up for some reason.

Pretty soon, Angela felt a cold touch on her neck, and the scent of Kenneth faded away.

"I'm done."

He looked at Angela's neck, and the necklace made her neck even longer, like a white swan.

Angela glanced down and praised sincerely, "That's a beautiful necklace."

"Then why did you throw it away when I gave it to you last time?"

After a moment of silence, Angela slowly said, "Because I thought about us getting divorced and I didn't want to be involved with you anymore."

Kenneth's expression turned cold, and then he said coldly, "I'm just lending it to you for tonight. Since you refused, I won't try again."

Angela seemed to be relieved at those words. "Okay."

Kenneth's expression became worse when he saw the thankfulness in her eyes. On the side, Kevin appeared serious on the surface but was secretly bursting with laughter inside.

He thought, 'If Mr. Sinclair hadn't been so tough-talking, Ms. Lewis might not have tried to divorce him every day.'

Kevin put the wheelchair on the side of the car, and Kenneth braced himself to sit in it.

Angela glanced over and couldn't help but tighten her grip on her bag slightly.

He could support his body by relying only on his upper body, and it looked like he usually exercised a lot.

However, thinking of the abdominals she had touched when she had wiped his body earlier, Angela couldn't help but blush a little.

Kenneth looked at her with a cold look and said coldly, "Stop gawking. Push me in."

Angela came back to her senses and was somehow embarrassed when she met Kenneth's eyes. She hurriedly got out of the car and took the wheelchair in Kevin's hand to push Kenneth into the Jenkins Villa.

At the moment, the ballroom of Jenkins Villa was already full of people greeting each other.

Those invited by Zenas out of the blue were a bit puzzled about what Zenas was up to.

But the Jenkins Group wasn't lowly in Lithoria, so the crowd was willing to accept Zenas' invitation.

In Debra's bedroom on the second floor, she was sitting on her bed and was telling Jennifer about her resentment and anger.

"My dad said if I didn't apologize to Angela, that bitch, he would sever ties with me!"

Jennifer sighed and said, "Debra, just do it! Angela did find your fault this time. And I don't know what Angela has been doing to Kenneth lately to make Kenneth so cold to me."

A flash of hatred flashed in Debra's eyes as she coldly said, "Not only did Angela cause me to lose my role, she also made my dad force me to apologize to her in front of everyone I know. I definitely won't let it go so easily!"

"Apologize first. Don't let Angela affect your relationship with your dad."

"Well, Jennie, why don't you go downstairs? I want to chill out alone for a while."

"Okay, if you're still upset, send me a message anytime. I'll come right up to accompany you when I see it!"

Walking out of Debra's room, Jennifer had just rounded the corner when she met Flora, who had come to bring Debra her soup.

"Hello, Mrs. Jenkins!"
