Don’t Fall for the Billionaire Lover novel Chapter 693

Connor strode over with determined steps.

"Diana, what on earth are you doing?" His voice was as cold and stern as a winter night.

Diana had heard him approaching long before he spoke.

She didn't bother turning around. Her eyes were glued to the horizon.

"Uncle Connor, isn't it beautiful up here?" she asked, almost dreamily.

"Do you think if I jumped from here, I'd turn into a butterfly with wings?"

"Diana, get down from there," Connor's voice sliced through the air, both firm and frigid.

But Diana remained still.

"Uncle Connor, do you have any idea what these last two months have been like for me? It's as if twenty years have passed. I've been in so much pain, and I can't help but hate you all."

Connor stood silent for a moment. "Everyone has to take responsibility for their actions. I'm deeply sorry for your loss, but that's not on me."

"How can you say that? If I hadn't seen your marriage certificate, none of this would have happened."

"Diana, you're old enough to see how ridiculous that sounds. Do you really think the world revolves around you? That everyone should cater to your feelings? You honestly believe I'd give up the love of my life just to keep you from being upset?"

His voice grew even colder. "You're overthinking things."

Diana finally turned her wheelchair to face him. Her face was a canvas of anger, her eyes blazing like a dark fire.

"Uncle Connor, do you really not care about me at all?"

"If I didn't care, I wouldn't be here," Connor replied, his voice deep and frosty. "But Diana, if you don't value your own life, how can you expect others to? If you want to jump, go ahead."
