Chloe chimed in, "You know what they say, 'Charity begins at home.'"
Connor chuckled at her choice of words. "Charity begins at home" did tickle his fancy. Pure White was his domain, a secret well kept from most of the Eldridge Elites. But today, he was in high spirits. "I'll swing by to pick you up tomorrow night, then."
Chloe nodded, a spark of excitement in her eyes. "QUEEN's top three designers are all independent. I haven't met the other two yet, and I'm really looking forward to it."
Connor grinned, "I hope you meet some new friends."
The next morning, Chloe made her way to the QUEEN headquarters bright and early. Situated in the heart of the city, she was pleasantly surprised to find that it was just a stone's throw from Sartori Corporation. The two buildings were separated by only a street, with a footbridge conveniently linking them. This unexpected proximity delighted Chloe. She could not only commute with Connor but also pop over for lunch. She fondly remembered the delicious meals she'd had at the Sartori Corporation cafeteria during a major election day.
Once inside the building, Chloe headed to Grant's office. Grant greeted her with an easygoing, "Oh, you're here?"
Chloe nodded, taking in the spacious, top-floor office. It had an entire wall of floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a breathtaking view of the cityscape. On cloudy days, the swirling clouds gave the impression of a celestial palace.
"Want to check out your office?" Grant offered.
