Dragon Master (Maximilian) novel Chapter 800

Connor and Mell, including Carol, were confident that Chief Carr would stand on his side, and whichever side Chief Carr stood on, the victory libra would fall to whichever side. They all put their eyes on Chief Carr, and they were looking forward to how Chief Carr would choose.

The atmosphere suddenly became silent. Everyone held breath. There's a lot of trouble here, and it was a rare game.

The big shots behind Chief Carr saw this scene and froze. After they saw Carol, they subconsciously concluded that Chief Carr would be on Carol's side.

The man beside Chief Carr whispered, "Chief Carr, Carol is our man. Connor was once a famous head in H City, although he didn’t do those things long ago, but he might repeat his old career."

Chief Carr frowned. He didn’t care about Connor, but Connor was Maximilian's friend, so he naturally would not make things difficult for Connor. Chief Carr subconsciously turned his head and looked at Maximilian. After he saw Maximilian pretending not to recognize him, he probably knew something.

Chief Carr then turned his attention to Carol and said coldly, "How is the matter I asked you to handle?"

"It hasn't been dealt with yet, I will help you deal with it first." Carol thought that Chief Carr valued that task, so he temporarily put the matter in front of him aside.

Chief Carr nodded his head as if he was looking at an idiot.

Carol turned back to look at his brother and said, "It's a turnaround. You are the owner of this bar. You can find someone named Maximilian. He has been targeted. If you help Maximilian to deal with his trouble, the benefits of you and me are indispensable."

"Huh?" After Mell heard this, he looked suspiciously at his brother, while glancing at Maximilian, and said in an uncertain tone, "Brother, it seems that he is Maximilian."

Carol was overjoyed. But when Carol saw that his brother was pointing at Maximilian, he was dumbfounded. What was this situation? It was hard to believe that Chief Carr's friend was this person?

He began to doubt life. Who was this ordinary man? Not only Connor was polite to him, but even Chief Carr also came here for him. He couldn't help but swallowed his saliva, feeling that his whole life would finish, and he felt as if he had made a big mistake.

This time he would die. The people Chief Carr asked him to help was the one his brother wanted him to target. He was embarrassed. This set of dolls came and went, but the result was setting him to death.

Mell lied to himself and said, "Carol, maybe it's not him, maybe it's the same name."

After Carol heard this, he could only hope this. If the man in front of him was the friend that Chief Carr said, then the consequences would be unimaginable, and maybe he would lose his job.

"Chief Carr, I haven't found him yet." Carol could only hide Chief Carr first, and at the same time, he said to Chief Carr, "Chief Carr, I'm in trouble. Connor and this man jointly bullied our brothers, and there was almost a firefight."

He was Chief Carr's subordinate. And as his superior, Chief Carr should be on his side. And he had heard that Chief Carr was cynical, so Chief Carr must be furious at Connor for sure.

"So what?" Chief Carr said indifferently.

Carol was taken aback for a moment. Before he could continue to speak, Chief Carr enthusiastically shook hands with Maximilian and said, "Mr. Lee, I made you wait, I'm not late, right?"

Carol's face changed drastically, and the corners of his mouth began to twitch a few times. Even Chief Carr had to respect Maximilian, and he concluded that Maximilian's background must not be simple.

Carol's eyes turned, taking advantage of the time to apologize now. Carol collected his arrogant attitude and said to Maximilian with a smile, "Mr. Lee, look, This is really a big misunderstanding, I couldn’t recognize you. If you had said earlier that you are a friend of Chief Carr, even I have ten guts, I would not dare to do this to you."

Maximilian asked rhetorically, "Even if I said it, you will believe it?"

Carol's face suddenly became embarrassed. When the other party said it, he didn't believe it. He squeezed out a smile, trying to please Maximilian said, "Mr. Lee, this is all my fault. I am senseless. You are generous, please don't take it to heart."

Maximilian smiled faintly, "I can't afford it. You are a the captain, you are able to handcuff me casually."

Chief Carr subconsciously looked at Maximilian's handcuffed hands, and his face turned iron blue as if he wanted to eat Carol.

After feeling Chief Carr's death stare, Carol winced and panicked as he took out a string of keys from his pocket and searched for half a day before finding the key to unlock Maximilian's handcuffs.

After being unhandcuffed, Maximilian said to Chief Carr, "I didn't commit a crime, but your people handcuffed me casually. Even if they want to handcuff people, they must have evidence."

"It's all to blame for my lax supervision." Chief Carr wiped his cold sweat. He knew that Mr. Lee was angry, he kept blaming himself, and at the same time, he coldly chided at Carol, "Carol, who gave you the right?"
