Once Vespera opened the door, she saw Luke standing outside. His face was pale, with dark circles under his eyes. His tie was loose before his chest, and he exuded a 

temifying demeanor 

Vespera froze and immediately sobered up. Her eyelashes trembled lightly as if the person standing outside was a tiger, not of a person. The tiger was looking directly into her eyes, telling her that it was here to consume her.

There was only silence between them. Vespera gripped the door handle before slamming the door shut, but Luke had predicted her movements and blocked the door 

Vespera uted all her strength to push the door, but the gap kept widening 

“Get out of here!”

“Let go of me! What are you trying to do?” Vespera locked Luke angrily, but in reality, she was in a panic. 

When Luke saw that Vespera was in her own room, his expression initially relaxed. But in the next second, he noticed the red mark on her collarbone. Furious, he reached out to pull her collar. 

Vespera shrieked and covered her chest. “Luke, if you continue doing this, I’m going to report you to the police!” 

Even though she covered her chest and didn’t let Luke see her body, he still managed to see a few hickeys on her chest. That was all it took to set him off completely. His grip on her an tightened as if he wanted to breakberbones.

“On the day we divorced, you promised you wouldn’t get together with another man!” 

Luke couldn’t bear to see it with his own eyes. It was like being stabbed straight through the heart. He couldn’t accept Vespera being in another man’s arms. 

Vespera was both furious and speechless. “When did I promise you that? Why should 1 make that promise? If I want to get into a relationship, I’ll get into one. I’m

“Who cares if I live him? Can’t I like him? I’m not married and neither is he. Even if we get together, there’s nothing to be afraid of!”
