Drunk and Daring I Kissed a Tycoon novel Chapter 288

Vespera and Yasmine were joined by a tall, elegant woman—striking and beautiful. The three of them chatted and laughed as they walked out of the shop.

Not long after, the two friends parted ways, each driving off in their own car.

Dominic watched Vespera's car disappear down the street, eyes thoughtful.

Gerard, still in the driver's seat, could tell that Dominic was dying to know what Vespera had bought.

If he didn't get answers tonight, he'd probably be in a foul mood all day tomorrow, and Gerard would be the one suffering for it.

So when he saw that graceful woman heading back inside the shop, Gerard made a split-second decision and jumped out of the car.

"Gerard!" Dominic called after him, but it was too late—he'd already gone inside.

Gerard caught up with the woman just as she reached the door. "Excuse me, ma'am."

She turned with a bright, welcoming smile. "Yes? Can I help you?"

"Hi, yes. A friend recommended this place, and I've heard great things. I'd love to try one of your… specialty items."

"You?" She gave him a once-over, clearly surprised. "You're the one using it?"

Using it? Gerard was confused. They weren't talking about food?

She must've caught his confused look because she burst out laughing.

"I'm sorry, sir. We only serve female clients here. Either your friend's playing a prank on you, or you've wandered into the wrong kind of shop."

With that, she headed upstairs, still smiling.

Gerard walked back to the car and climbed in. "I asked. It's not a dessert shop. It's, uh… a place that sells women's products. Probably skincare or something."

Dominic said nothing, his face completely unreadable.

Vespera pulled into her driveway and went inside, carrying the bag upstairs to her room.

She carefully took out the little toy and sat on the floor, instruction manual in hand. She hadn't dared ask the store owner to explain anything earlier.

The vibe in that shop had been… well… a bit too blushingly intimate for questions like that.

She was just figuring out the buttons, checking the modes and settings, when the doorbell rang. She jumped so hard the manual flew out of her hands.

Everyone knew—when one was doing something slightly sneaky, maybe a little exciting, the last thing they needed was a scare.

Heart racing, she stuffed everything back into the bag and shoved it to the end of the bed before heading out of the room.
