"Gerard." Vespera called his name in a soft tone. Her cheeks were still flushed pink, though not from makeup. "Your tie doesn't match your suit today. Maybe go change it?"

Gerard blinked, caught off guard. He glanced down at himself. "Really? Doesn't match? What color do you think would—"

He looked up, but she was already gone.

He furrowed his brow in confusion and wondered, "Vespera was acting weird today too. What was going on with her?"

Back in her office, Vespera made her way toward her desk, only to catch her heel on the edge of the carpet.

She stumbled and flopped awkwardly into her chair, her gaze unfocused as she slumped back.

Gerard's words still echoed in her head. "Mr. Chandler gave Mr. Reid all kinds of virility supplements this morning."

Dominic strolled over to her desk and placed a white thermos on top.
