She couldn't just tell him that she had been drugged. He was new to the workforce, and he certainly didn’t understand these shady workplace tactics. After all, he hadn't even been in a relationship. He wouldn’t understand even if she tells him what actually happened.
She sighed and she said in the low voice, "I can't take a vacation at home right now. If Mr.Brown know I was pregnant now, he wouldn't allow me to work in his company."
After all, no boss wanted to take this risk, so she had to hide it unless it was really impossible to hide. Even if Mr.Brown doesn't feel good about it, he wouldn't say much, considering how hard she worked for the company. She can go back to work after giving birth.
"I understand." Aaron nodded with concern.
It was not easy for women to work in the workplace generally, and it's going to be even harder for her to get into her current position. Besides, she was divorced, so she would have to raise her babies, which she couldn’t afford it just in financial terms.
That's not what Cathy was thinking. She's still wondering who drugged her last night. Mr. Black? But he didn’t have a chance. She drank a few glasses of water in total in his presence. It didn’t make sense if he wanted to get drunk and have sex with her, because she didn’t drink anyway.
"Cathy?"
Aaron called out to her. Since she didn't respond to him, he couldn’t help but pat her forehead and shouted, "Cathy!"
"Oh?" Cathy suddenly came back to earth and looked at him, "what's wrong?"
"What are you thinking? You were so lost in thought. Are you still thinking about Tyrone?" He giggled and winked at her vaguely.
“Screw you!” Cathy rolled her eyes, got up, rested her hand on his shoulder and said, "go back to the office."
It seemed that she could only ask Tyrone. She must find out who drugged her. How dared he harm her so blatantly? Did she look so easy to bully?
Marian, who had just returned to LT Company from across the street, she felt a strange atmosphere as she entered.
Although she was an insignificant administrator in the company, most of the staff still remembered who she was and spoke to her politely.
“What’s the matter?” She behaved as usual, looking at the two girls at the front desk.
