Cathy was enduring the anger. Her white pretty face was covered by a gloomy haze. She got out from the restroom and went to the president's office on the top floor directly.
She did not knock on the door but broke in directly.
The man in the office seemed shocked by her. His expression became calm again since he found that was her came in. He put down the pen and smiled gently," Here you are."
Cathy stood at the door for two seconds then she walked slowly to him with her eyes staring at him. Her sight was combined with a sense of sneering, she sneered," Why are you still pretending since you have already showed your hands? Don't smile if you don't want to."
The man's sight became gloomy looking at the pretty delicate face of the woman in front of him but his smile did not change," Do you think that I'm pretending in front of you?"
Cathy curved her lips with a sense of jeer," Could you distinguish which one is the real you since you have pretended for so long?"
The smile on the man's face was still peaceful and calm," I thought that you could understand that it is only the different ways of people dealing with their lives. I got my way and you got yours. That is like you are only a manager in your company but who knows that you are the daughter of Judge Lawson, the ex-wife of Mr. Raman of LT Company and a pregnant woman. I'm just seeking for my own benefits, so do you, don't you?"
"..." Cathy was made speechless by his words.
The man had all the things on her and used them to block her.
However, that did not mean that Cathy's anger was extinguished. Her expression became colder and her tone was more chill," Therefore, you went to Chicago for me from the beginning, didn't you? You got close to me with that hypocritical smile on that wine party designedly, too, didn't you?"
James's darken eyes winkled but he did not say anything.
He was an old player in this business game. He reached the position from the bottom and he met all kinds of people and heard all kinds of harsh words. From sorrow at the beginning to cold-blood now, he had already got used to hide his emotion and even got used to endure.
The one point that he was different from Tyrone was that all the things he got today was made by him one step by one step, but Tryone just made the company given by his father larger and stronger. So, even though James seemed Tyrone a competitor, he still looked Tyrone down in his mind.
" You really got the natural of a business man." Cathy looked at him and the sneer on her lips was deeper.
" It is your freedom to think in that way if that could makes you feel better." The man was still emotionless.
" No, you may less that a business man since you even use a woman to reach your goal. I could not believe that you feel free to use these kind of despicable method." Cathy laughed since she was over angry. She measured him up and down, suddenly she denied herself again," Not really. You could even use your own wife. How could you take a care of other woman?"
James glanced at her then moved his sight to other place. He walked to the window slowly with his hand putting in his pockets. He stood straight there looking at the tall buildings far over and the wild ambition could not be hidden in his eyes anymore," Do you know which one was the tallest building in Washington?"
Cathy stood behind him raising her sight looking at the man standing in front of the huge French sash. He had a slim feature and his dressing was tidy, his temperament was elegant and steady. But what she saw was totally different from Tyrone. That was a kind of extreme desire of power, wealth and everything at the top of the world.
She smiled gradually and said along his words," It means nothing even if it is now under my feet. Could you stand still on it? Besides, the things you are chasing are not the things all the people would like to chase and I do not have that kind heart to sacrifice myself for your prosperity. Do I have to be happy even if you trapped me?"
" You could share with me if you are willing to."
