But Cathy just passed by and finally walked back to her office without any pause.
The subordinates of the Department watched her leave carefully, then looked at each other, and eventually focused on Aaron who was working quietly in the corner of the office.
As one of the heroes of the event, he said nothing more and did nothing except being silence like everyone else.
But everyone knew that the argument at this time could not prove anything but reveal his guilty conscience.
Cathy sat in the office, meditated for a while, and opened the web page on her mobile phone. The first articles in the whole circle in Chicago were all about her. What were said in these articles seemed to really happen, and even the photos were very clear.
Even when she was eating out with James in Washington yesterday, they were taken pictures. The earliest picture was taken half a month ago. That was to say, she had been followed and photographed during this period.
She was not a popular star and no one would notice her. The only thing she could think of was that someone intentionally targeted her. Behind all the articles was just a murderer.
While scanning these articles, she received a text message.
Cathy clicked it to read.
It was from Aaron.
"Are you okay? "
"You can rest assured that I will find out the truth. You should be careful these days."
Cathy frowned slightly, moved her fingers and sent him a simple message quickly. "I'm all right."
Just after she sent out the message, Nick knocked on the door and came in.
"Cathy, Mr. Joyce has sent someone to inform you of the meeting."
Cathy calmed down for two seconds, turned off her cell phone indifferently, and faintly answered, "I know, you can go."
It was not a meeting at all but was the congress for condemning her. It seemed that someone couldn't wait to it seems that someone can't wait to watch her becoming a laughing stock.
Getting up, Cathy walked around the desk and went out. She unlock the collar button with her slim fingertips and looked cold.
Nick looked at her anxiously and wanted to say something to her but he finally said nothing.
No one expected that this thing would happen as soon as they came back. It was obvious that someone had planned it.
There were five or six people in the conference room. The company was not a big one, but almost all the people who dominated the important positions had arrived.
Cathy glanced at Mr. Brown, who waved to her and gave her a signal to sit down.
