Chapter 515 Will You Marry Me?
Aletta’s breath caught, sensing that something was off. But at that moment, she didn’t have time to dwell on it. Jason had already asked her, “After all this secret planning, is this the surprise you had for me?”
“You…” Aletta looked at Jason, who seemed completely unsurprised, feeling a bit bewildered. Could it be…?
Nervously, she asked, “You already knew, didn’t you?”
Jason’s eyes held a lingering smile, and he didn’t deny it. He had indeed known.
He found out when she went to that store to buy the ring and got exposed.
He simply chose not to let on, allowing her to make her preparations.
As Aletta looked at his expression, she quickly thought about the ring purchase. She felt a tinge of regret.
But she soon realized, “So, all these lights… You arranged them, right?”
With gentle eyes, Jason nodded. “Some of the lights in the villa are arranged, while the ones near the harbor and coastline were already there. They were prepared when you went abroad.”
Upon hearing this, Aletta felt a bit embarrassed. She had
been secretly preparing all this time, and it turned out he knew all along!
Unable to contain herself, she raised her hand and playfully hit him. “And you also knew about tonight’s event, didn’t you?”
Jason raised an amused eyebrow and said, “Of course, I have to go along with whatever my fiancée wants to do!”
He held her hand tightly and brought it to his lips, placing a tender and affectionate kiss upon it.
With a soft gaze, he told her, “I know you wanted to make up for the previous proposal, so I let you go ahead with your plans. But the remaining steps, they’ll be up to me. As I mentioned before, don’t try to steal them away from me.”
His gentle voice, amidst the romantic ambiance of the beautifully lit surroundings, felt like a dream.
Aletta didn’t know what to say for a moment. She had a feeling that no matter what she did, he could see right through her.
This left her feeling a bit dispirited. She had thought she could surprise him…
Jason noticed her disappointment and tightened his grip on her hand, gently bringing her attention back. He softly called her name, “Aletta…”
Aletta looked up at him, puzzled.
Jason’s gaze became focused, his eyes filled with a depth of affection she had never seen before.
His voice, deep and magnetic, resonated in Aletta’s ears, and everything seemed so unreal.
“We rushed through our last wedding, and I didn’t give you the beautiful experience you deserved. Even after we got married, I only brought you endless frustration and sadness. So this time, let me formally give you the ceremony you should have had.”
His low, charismatic voice made everything seem so surreal to Aletta.
She subconsciously held her breath, afraid that if she wasn’t careful, she would wake up from this dream.
Unaware of her thoughts, Jason simply held her hand and led her step by step to the stage in front of the yard.
This was part of the wedding planning she knew about and had seen.
There was a backdrop covered in lilies, with a heart-shaped. pattern made of pink roses and their names written in the
center.
On the backdrop were also photos of them together.
Surrounding it were delicate veils and the enchanting glow of lights.
Jason led her to the center spot and then took the red velvet box from her hands.
His movements were natural, as if he had rehearsed them countless times.
Jason slowly opened the box and smiled at her, saying, “After preparing for so long, it’s finally happening.”
His words left Aletta stunned.
What did he mean?
“This ring…”
Suddenly, a surprising guess floated in her mind.
Could it be…
Jason nodded. “Yes, I instructed Dora to give it to you. I figured you would come to her.””
Aletta was truly astonished this time!
The man had left no details untouched, leaving her speechless.
Jason opened the box and presented the exquisite rings to
her.
Sincerely, he said, “Originally, I should have given this to you last month, but we missed the opportunity. Now, let’s make up for that regret, shall we?”
As the words fell, Aletta watched as the always dignified and peerless man suddenly knelt down on one knee, looking up at her.
He said, “We’ve wasted so much time in the past few years. Now, would you be willing to wear this ring and marry me? I promise to treat you well, love you, and protect you. Will you… give me another chance?”
A wave of emotions surged in Aletta’s chest upon hearing his words.
This scene had been imagined countless times in her mind!
But when it happened for real, she couldn’t find any words to
say.
Happiness, joy, touched, the urge to cry… Various emotions. intertwined, tugging at her heart and momentarily leaving her dazed.
It was as if she had returned to years ago.
Occasionally, she would see this scene in her dreams.
But upon waking up, it was all just an empty dream…
Her nose felt sour, and she opened her mouth several times but couldn’t utter a word.
Jason wasn’t in a hurry. He simply looked at her tenderly, patiently waiting…
Not far away, hidden inside the house, the person secretly watching this scene felt a mix of emotions.
Flora’s eyes turned slightly red, and she couldn’t help but say, “Alta will be very happy from now on, right?”
