Ex-Husband’s Regret: Barren Mommy Has Quadruplets novel Chapter 588

Chapter 588 If You Like It, I Will Not Hate It

Two days later.

Early in the morning, Aletta and Jason went out to the hotel to pick up Jock. They then headed straight to the Hills Mansion.

Aletta still refused to enter the house.

She didn’t want to see Jenny!

Knowing her grudge, Jason didn’t force her and went inside with Jock himself.

When they entered, they came face-to-face with Ray.

He raised an eyebrow and asked casually, “What are you doing here?”

Jock spoke up first, “I asked him to come! He wanted to learn hypnosis. and there’s a case right in front of us for him to practice on.”

Jason recalled Ray’s previous request to become Jock’s apprentice and did not say anything.

He turned to Jock and said, “Alright, let’s get started.”

“Okay.”

Jock nodded and immediately walked toward Jenny.

Jenny’s expression was particularly resistant.

She still remembered that a few days ago, she was threatened by this woman. And now she looked startled and wary, saying, “What… What are you going to do? Don’t come any closer!”

Jock crossed her arms and looked at her coldly. Her gaze resembled that of a predator eyeing its prey.

Jenny’s anger was ignited, and she couldn’t help but angrily say, “I’m telling you, you won’t lay a hand on me today!”

With that. she ordered the nearby butler and maid. “Someone come here and get this woman out of here!!!”

While Jay and Jason had not reacted to Jenny’s words, Jock had already grown impatient and made a disapproving sound

With a quick stride, she approached Jenny and grabbed the back of her collar. It was much like holding a chick, and she sternly said. “You dare to act tough in front of me? Behave yourself, or I’ll give you a beating. Let’s see if they dare to stop me.”

Jenny was both furious and trembling with fear.

She instinctively looked towards Jay and Jason.

Only to realize that they didn’t even spare her a glance.

In a short while, she was being dragged into the room.

Ray was left astounded, thinking to himself how impressive this was.

When had Jenny ever been so obedient?

It seemed that sometimes, a villain could only be dealt with by another “villain”.

Soon, Ray also followed inside to observe the situation…

As the door closed, Jay barely glanced in that direction and asked, “Can Jenny recover this time?”

Jason remained composed and replied, “She should be able to, and there might be some changes.

Jason hadn’t forgotten about Jock hypnotizing Jenny last time!

Jay didn’t know of this and asked, “What kind of changes?”

Jason felt it wasn’t appropriate to reveal the full details of this situation to Jay

After contemplating for a few seconds, Jason responded tactfully, “Perhaps she might become better?”

When Jay heard that, he immediately expressed his doubt, “With her temperament, if she can change for the better, the sun will probably rise from the west tomorrow morning

Jay had grown extremely disappointed with Jenny’s behavior and did not believe she could change at all!

Jason found himself at a loss for words.

The possibility of Jenny’s improvement was merely his speculation, and

it was indeed hard to draw definitive conclusions.

“Since that’s the case, let’s wait and see. We’ll know later.”

Jason said that and stood up to leave

“Where are you going?” Jay asked.

“Aletta is waiting outside. I’ll go and accompany her. You can call me later if it’s ready.”

With those words, Jason disappeared.

After leaving the mansion, he headed straight to the car.

To his surprise, Aletta was not there.

Jason frowned, about to ask the bodyguard what was going on. But he caught a glimpse of a petite figure squatting by the roadside, not far

away

He focused his gaze and realized it was Aletta!

Aletta’s back was turned in this direction, and he couldn’t tell what she was doing.

Without hesitation. Jason walked towards her, while removing his

coat

When he reached Aletta, he immediately draped the coat over her shoulders and gently said. “Why aren’t you staying in the car? It’s cold outside.”

Upon hearing the man’s voice, Aletta immediately looked up and smiled at him. “You’re out! Look!”

She held something flutly in her hands and handed it to him…

Jason lowered his head and met the gaze of a kitten.

The cat had pure white fur, except for a light-yellow tuft on its tail. Its eyes were a beautiful gem-like blue, incredibly stunning.

However, it appeared a bit thin and weak.

Perhaps due to the cold, it was shivering and continuously meowing.

It sounded pitiful no matter how Aletta listened to it.

“Its leg is injured. I saw it when I was in the car, and I felt pity for it. So, I got out to bandage it.”

Aletta explained as she took the kitten back.

The kitten felt the warmth and desperately snuggled into her arms.

Jason looked at it and said, “It’s probably someone’s lost pet!”

The breed of this cat looked pure and expensive.

Aletta shook her head and pointed a cardboard box at her feet. And she said, “It was abandoned by someone!”

As she spoke, she gently tended to the injured leg of the kitten and wrapped it with a bandage.

The kitten seemed to sense that the person in front of it wouldn’t harm it. So, it cooperated obediently throughout the process.

After Aletta finished bandaging the kitten’s leg, it leaned against her and affectionately rubbed its head against her clothes.

Aletta’s heart melted at such a gesture.

She couldn’t help but look up and ask Jason, “Do you hate cats?

Can I bring it home and take care of it?”

When she said that, there was anticipation in her eyes.
