Bobby was a little disappointed when Luz left. He stood up from the sofa and held up his glass to Henry in a toast. "You have a great secretary there, Mr Maynard," he said with a smile. "She's pretty and diplomatic. Here's to a good time working together!"
"We won't be working together," Henry said indifferently and mercilessly.
Mr Harper's face twisted into a fake smile. "Your secretary just got me to sign a contract."
Henry snorted coldly and walked over to Mr Harper. "Not just MR," he whispered into his ear. "Heroways will also be stopping all collaborations with Aprico Jewelry."
"By the way," he continued, "No one touched my woman except me, on pain of death."
He barely finished before disappearing, leaving Mr Harper stunned and wondering if he heard wrongly.
...
Luz had just been keeping up a facade of soberness in front of Bobby. When she got into the bathroom, she fell to her knees in front of the toilet and puked violently.
After vomiting for nearly ten minutes, she still felt very uncomfortable. She was very weak. She made her way to the sink and splashed some water on her face.
"Oh, I'm really drunk..."
Luz held her head in her hands as her vision blurred. She walked slowly to the door, but she lost her balance in her high heels and listed to a side.
A big hand reached over and held her slender waist firmly.
"Hmm?"
Luz looked up and thought she was seeing her son's face in front of her. It was even doubled.
