"Mommy, am I going to have a little brother?"
Logan patted her on the back with distress while asking suspiciously. He always felt that there had been some changes between his mommy and the bad guy Henry.
"Of course not, mommy is not pregnant with your little brother."
Her throat was hurting, but she still had to answer the little guy's question seriously. What was he even thinking about? She was just throwing up because of the alcohol.
"Oh."
The little fellow pouted, half happy and half disappointed. He was ready to have complicated feelings, but it turned out that this wasn't the time.
After washing away the strange smell in her mouth with water, she took the little fellow to the bed and said, "Good boy, it's time to take a nap."
"Mommy, I've been missing you for half a month."
The little fellow immediately threw himself into his mother's arms. He couldn't fall asleep these days, so he slept with grandma.
"Mommy also missed you very much."
Luz's arms tightened. There was a brief time when she couldn't bring herself to think about coming home alive and watching her son grow up.
The bright sunshine came in from outside, which was so warm that the mother and son in bed fell asleep unconsciously.
Henry chatted with the old lady in the living room for a long time before he went up to the third floor. When he passed by Luz's bedroom, he quickly doubled back. His thin lips curled up into a smile as he turned the door handle.
The kidnapping had left her with some side effects. She would wake up at the slightest noise.
When her alert eyes saw the man at the door, her tense body relaxed.
"Why did you come in?"
She lowered her voice so that she wouldn't wake up her son. She immediately asked about his health, worried about the three glasses of wine he had drunk at lunch just now.
"Do you feel uncomfortable? You shouldn't have drunk so much."
Henry had planned to use the wine to talk to her, so when she gave him the perfect opening, he grabbed it.
"Isn't this my room?"
He pressed his slender fingers on his temples. After all, he was drunk and his face was a little red. He did not have to try hard to look drunk.
"This is my room."
Luz got out of bed and was going to help over to the next room to rest. She would bring him to the hospital to have a good check-up later. Although she used to be a medical student, she was not a professional. If the wound was not dealt with properly, it could leave him with some bad long-term side effects.
As soon as his hand touched his arm, Henry's body suddenly tilted, as if he was about to fall to the ground.
"Be careful." She hurriedly grabbed his strong and narrow waist, but for some reason, the two of them fell against the wall next to them.
There was a chill on her back, but she was glad that it was not Henry who hit the wall. Otherwise, the wound on his back would have been affected.
"Henry, let me take you..."
Before she could finish her sentence, the man in her arms suddenly leaned forward and kissed her.
