I gave a self–deprecating smile. 

A powerless, insignificant person like me, who could be crushed by the Shaw family at any time, could never be of any help to him. 

Zack waved his hand. “You shouldn’t say that. The wheel of fortune turns and no one stays unlucky forever.” 

I didn’t believe that he was so kind. “Are you really willing to let me go?” 

“Of course.”

Zack asked, “Which Smith family?”
