Chapter 234 Did You Trust Daniel A Lot?

Emma blinked, looking at me somewhat bewildered, and said, “Was I really being too suspicious?”

Looking at her, I said, “Don’t worry for now. My elder brother is not that kind of person. I think it’s just some naive young girls who have taken a liking to him, but he doesn’t have such intentions. He is considering your feelings, that’s why he didn’t tell you about this. You should take good care of yourself, don’t argue with him. If there really is a problem, there are so many elders in the Hinton family, he always has to consider them.”

I was not the type to persuade others. I said a lot to Emma, she pursed

her lips, but didn’t dwell on this matter. She lowered her head, stroking her belly and sighed, “I originally planned to wait until the old lady’s health improved before sharing this good news with everyone, but I didn’t expect…”

I smiled lightly and said, “No matter how it’s conveyed, it’s always good news. I just saw grandma, she was very happy.”

Emma chuckled, looking at me and said, “William and I are already expecting our second child. You and Walter should hurry up. This old house will be lively in the future…”

After speaking, she seemed to remember my divorce with Walter and apologized somewhat, “I spoke without thinking, I didn’t mean anything else, don’t take it to heart.”

I shook my head with a smile, unconcerned, saying, “It’s okay.”

I chatted with Emma for a while, and it was getting late. I had arranged to meet Daniel, so after saying goodbye to Emma, I left the West

ww

Courtyard.

When I reached the entrance of the yard, I ran into Walter and William who had returned with the medicine. I didn’t expect them to come back so quickly, and was slightly taken aback.

Seeing me about to leave, William said, “Do you have something urgent to do? If not, why not have breakfast first before you go.”

I shook my head and laughed, “I have an appointment to go somewhere, I’ll come back to see sister-in-law later.” Due to Walter’s presence, it wasn’t appropriate for me to bring up Rachel with William, so I just exchanged a few polite pleasantries with a smile.

Walter looked at me and said, “I’ll take you there.”

Without waiting for my objection, he immediately said, “I’ll go start the

car.”

And then the person left.

I was stunned, and the words that reached my mouth were just swallowed back down.

Forget it, why bother about these things, we’re all living under the same roof now.

After saying goodbye to William, I left the house, Walter was already waiting outside.

He got in the car and asked, “Where to?”

Itold him the address that Daniel had given me, and then fell silent.

On the way, there was originally not much to talk about, so everyone simply quieted down.

When I reached the bottom of the restaurant, I glanced at the handsome man beside me and said, “Thank you.”

He then raised his hand to open the door and got out of the car. A deep voice came from the person next to him, “I’ll wait for you outside.”

Me??

Frowning at him, I said, “No need, you go about your business, I’ll take a taxi home after the meeting.”

He raised an eyebrow at me, his voice steady, “Did you trust Daniel a lot?”

This question was inexplicably asked. I realized too late, he was waiting for me here, was it to prevent Daniel from meeting me, because it was unsafe?

Taking a slight breath, I said irritably. “I was doing business with him, and it was a public place. Besides, he was from Freyhedge and I was a local from River City. If there was any distrust, he should be the one wary of me.”
